As you might know from our previous article, one of the biggest upcoming hits of this spring happens to be the Eurovision gala. The global audience of the show is an estimated 180 million viewers. As recently announced, the 60-year-old singer-songwriter Madonna will perform at the show’s finale on May 18. Eurovision 2019 betting predictions on Madonna’s performance are on high demand.

The Israeli singer Netta Barzilai won last year’s competition with an ambitious and empowering performance. So, the singer earned her country the right to host the Eurovision 2019 edition.

Madonna’s appearance generates loud echoes

Madonna already performed in Tel-Aviv in 1993, 2009 and 2012. The singer has always been a longstanding icon and ally for the queer community. However, this year activists have already launched an online campaign. Indeed, the singer is asked to take a stand against Israel’s human rights abuses and cancel her performance.

Madonna: the Queen of Pop

Queen of Pop since the 1980s, Madonna is known for pushing the boundaries. Equally, in songwriting in mainstream popular music, as well as for the imagery she uses on stage and in music videos. With more than 300 million records worldwide, Madonna is the best-selling female recording artist ever.

Madonna will perform two songs at Eurovision

According to the announcement, the singer intends to perform two songs. Notably, one of the songs from her forthcoming album. The other song will be from the classical collection. On 22BET you can place your bet on the following songs:

  • Vogue (2.50)
  • La Isla Bonita (3.50)
  • Material Girl (7.00)
  • Papa Don’t Preach (9.00)
  • Deeper and Deeper (15.00)

All these five Madonna-songs are indeed popular

Vogue is an upbeat house song from 1990 which set trends in dance music. The song was a big hit, due to its 1970s disco era-vibe. Simple as it is, the song is about enjoying oneself on the dance floor. Online sportsbook sites in Israel suggest this song will be performed on the gala.

La Isla Bonita is noted for being the first Madonna song to contain Latino influences. With a mix of synthesized and real drumming, the song was a tribute to the beauty of the Latinos.  The song is one of the most performed live songs by Madonna, so it would be an obvious choice for the upcoming performance.

Material Girl was a commercial success in 1985, and it established Madonna as an icon. The song has been labeled an empowering influence for women. Labeled as provocative, the song was the subject of debates.

Still one of the best performers in the world

Papa Don’t Preach from 1986, appeared on Madonna’s third studio combining pop and classical styles. Also a commercial success, the song is about teenage pregnancy and abortion. Considering the divisive lyrics and the heated discussions about its lyrical content it is less likely that Madonna would perform this hit.

Deeper and Deeper is a refreshing, dance-oriented song from 1992. The hit was met with positive reviews. Considered a pure disco song, performing it is highly possible.

Canadian born billionaire is behind Madonna’s fund

Slyvan Adams is the patron to pay the costs of Madonna’s appearance, reportedly $1 million. Apparently, the reason behind choosing the performer singer for the show is to gain attention for the show around the US. Indeed, the song contest is not extremely well-known outside of Europe.

Sylvan has previously funded other initiatives, aiming to promote Israel on a global stage. For example, the billionaire was behind bringing the Giro D’Italia cycling race to the country. The businessman also donates money for several sports and educational activities.

Eurovision 2019 betting predictions on Madonna’s song suggest a thrilling night full of surprises. Make sure you try your luck and they watch the live show on May 18.
