The leader of Fine Gael and the caretaker of the Irish interim government Leo Varadkar is under huge pressure. Several voices have asked Mr. Varadkar to resign after Fine Gael’s crushing defeat in the general elections of February 08. Should Mr. Varadkar decide to step down, his deputy Simon Coveney is favored by next Fine Gael leader odds to replace him.
