The new, 2021/22 Alpine Ski season continues in Levi, Finland this weekend with two slalom races in the women’s competition. Petra Vlhova won here last year ahead of Mikaela Shiffrin and Katharina Liensberger. All three skiers are mentioned in the 2021/22 FIS World Cup Levi odds as top favorites. But Swiss skiers Gisin and Holdener can also cause a surprise this time.

The end of the alpine ski season is getting close with only two racing weekends left in the calendar. Top women slalom skiers will compete this weekend in Are, Sweden where the next two races are held. Winning any of them can be a huge advantage for the leaders in the overall standing. So far the performance of the Italian team has been disappointing in the 2021 Alpine Ski World Championships hosted on home soil in Cortina d’Ampezzo. They haven’t won any medals yet after four events but it can all change in the women’s giant slalom race, where Marta Bassino is the favorite. While French Alexis Pinturault is favored to win in the men’s event by the FIS Giant Slalom World Championships odds.
