Gambling Laws in Serbia

Gambling in Serbia is legal under the Law on Games of Chance (Zakon o Igrama na Srecu) and its amendments. The Articles 9, 13, 14 and 15 of the law contain precise definitions of the forms of games of chance regulated in the country such as card games, table games, bingo, lotto, betting, etc. According to article 97, operators can also run online gambling sites in Serbia.  The body responsible for the regulation of the gambling activities in the country is the Games of Chance Administration (Uprava za igre na srecu) which is part of the Tax Administration (Poreska Uprava) within the Ministry of Finance. According to the Serbian gambling laws, licenses for providing any of the gambling games can be obtained by the Government. And minors under 18 years of age are prohibited to participate in gambling activities.
