Online Poker Laws in the Philippines

Although there are no specific Philippine poker laws, the game falls under the Executive Order No.13 from 2017 which means that domestic and foreign websites can only apply for a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) license issued by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and that allows them to offer online poker to players outside of the Philippines only. However, Filipinos are legally entitled to access international online poker sites such as Full Tilt Poker or Uniber Poker where they can play in many tournaments against some of the best players in the world. The Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA), the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone and Freeport Zone Authority (APECO) and the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) can also issue licenses and target the Asian market, though they cannot in any way allow locals or anyone outside their territory within the Philippines to play.
