We're almost at the end of the road now as 28 May draws ever closer. The best two clubs in Europe will face each other in Paris for glory and for revenge. Liverpool will be looking to avenge their lost 2018 UCL Final but this might be their toughest match yet. Check out our new Liverpool v Real Madrid betting preview for the latest updates on odds, injuries, and more.

It’s revenge time for Liverpool as they try to redeem themselves for their 2018 UCL Final loss against Real. Eventually, the Reds went to win the title the next year but they’re yet to beat Madrid in this decade. What’s more, Los Blancos also eliminated Liverpool in the quarter-finals last year. They didn’t reach the final but the Reds have something to prove now. For the first time in a long time, odds favour the English club against Real in the UCL Final betting previews.

The two sides met last on 14 April last year which resulted in a draw. But everything is different now. And even if Madrid aren’t the favourites, one shouldn’t overlook their accomplishments in this year’s UCL. The Spaniards beat PSG, Chelsea, and City, all of whom were above them as the favourites to advance. Let’s delve into the Liverpool v Real Madrid betting preview.

Firstly, most of Real’s great performances this season came in the second leg matches, which doesn’t exist in the Final. They perform the best when the stakes are at the absolute highest. On the other hand, it’s not hard to agree that Liverpool’s path to the 2022 UCL Final was fairly easier. They faced respectable, but smaller clubs. Secondly, since Paris is a neutral venue neither side will have an advantage.

But if you look at statistics, Liverpool seem to perform better in away matches, compared to Real. There are good news for both clubs. The Reds’ squad is fully healthy as of 12 May and Madrid should be at full strength too by the final. Hazard, Gutiérrez, Bale, Ceballos, Isco, Alaba, and Marcelo are all currently injury listed but they should return before 28 May. Of course, more than half of them probably won’t play in the match.
