Two big European clubs with a successful past will meet this Thursday in Rotterdam in the first leg of the Europa Conference League semi-final. Both Feyenoord and Marseille have won other European cups before. And now they can make history with winning the first trophy of the new tournament. The Dutch club knocked out Slavia Praha 6-4 on aggregate and reached their first European semi-final since 2002. Then they won their second UEFA Cup title after 1974. Feyenoord were also the first Dutch European Cup winners, beating Celtic in 1970. While Marseille are a three-time runner-up of the Europa League. They also won the Champions League in 1993 and the Intertoto Cup in 2005. Fans of both clubs are hoping for another success from their teams, let’s see their chances at the first match.

Home Win Is Predicted In the Feyenoord vs Marseille Betting Tips

Online sportsbooks in the Netherlands favor Feyenoord to win the first leg and offer the odds of 2.15 for their victory. Arne Slot’s team is in third place in the Eredivisie, 11 points behind the leaders, Ajax. Still, this position would mean Europa League play-off for the club that could only qualify for the Europa Conference League this season. But they have been playing well in the new tournament after winning their group and knocking out Partizan and Slavia Prague. Feyenoord haven’t been beaten at home in this league even though they conceded three goals against Prague in the previous round.

But thanks to their great attacking power, the team still managed to draw at the end. Colombian striker Luis Sinisterra has scored the most goals in the season with 22. He has the smallest odds, 6.50 to score the first goal against Marseille in the Feyenoord vs Marseille betting tips. But his teammate, Nigerian Cyriel Dressers can easily get the first (or any time) goal after scoring twice in the last match against Prague. Arne Slot can’t rely on a few players though due to injuries. Probably the first-choice goalkeeper Justin Bijlow’s absence can be the biggest disadvantage. Still, at home, supported by the enthusiastic fans, Feyenoord can only aim for the victory.

Marseille will be a tough opponent

It might be surprising for some football fans but Olympique Marseille are the only French European Cup winners after winning against AC Milan in the 1993 final. In the last decade PSG have taken control in the French league. It also meant that Marseille could only qualify for the Europa League. They started this season there as well. But they dropped to the Conference League after finishing only third place in their group. In this tournament, Marseille knocked out Qarabag, Basel and PAOK to reach the semi-final. Where they have the odds of 3.30 to get the win in the first match.

Jorge Sampaoli’s team is in great form, they only lost against PSG out of their last seven matches. They are in second place in Ligue 1, three points ahead of Rennes and Monaco. In the Conference League Marseille won all six games so far. But it won’t be an easy job to continue this great run. Top players like Dimitri Payet, Arkadiusz Milik and Cengiz Under will try to score again for sure. Milik has the smallest odds, 2.50 to score any time during the match along with Congolese Cedric Bakambu. With quality players in all parts of the team, Marseille seem to have the advantage to qualify for the final. Even online gambling sites in the Netherlands offer the smaller odds, 1.80 for their overall success.  While Feyenoord’s chances for the same are 1.95 on bet365.
