An Introduction to the Europa League Outright Betting Predictions
There are four team remaining in the Europa League. The remaining teams include the Italian sporting kit of Juventus and Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma, Bayer Leverkusen and the six-time Europa League winners, Spanish side Sevilla. One of the semi-final clashes includes Sevilla against Juventus whilst the other sees AS Roma take on Bayer Leverkusen, as seen below.
- Juventus v Sevilla
- Roma v Bayer Leverkusen
Juventus v Sevilla Semi-final
The first leg of the semifinal will be played at the ‘Old Lady’ in Turin. Juventus have previously won the Europa League three times. It will be a chance for the once great ‘Fidanzata d’Italia’ to record their first European success since 1996. However, the black and white kit will have to overcome the most successful team in Europa League history.
If you were a betting person, you would be wise not to disregard Sevilla. ‘Los Nervionenses Los Hispalenses Palanganas Blanquirrojos Rojiblancos Sevillistas’ are an exceptional team when it comes to winning the second-tier European competition. Their most recent success was in 2020, having defeated Inter in the final. As history repeats itself, Sevilla find themselves in yet another Europa League final, having won three on the bounce in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
AS Roma v Bayer Leverkusen
The other semifinal first leg will be played at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. AS Roma have a fantastic chance of reaching the final in Budapest, arguably down to their exceptional manager. Jose Mourinho, who had previously won the Europa League with Porto and Manchester United, now finds himself on the verge of European success yet again. The legendary Portuguese manager has already tasted European glory with AS Roma, having won the Europa Conference League last year.
He became the first manager in history to have won the top-tier Champions League, the second-tier Europa League and the third-tier Conference League. Mourinho has never lost a European final, having won all five of his previous attempts. If AS Roma beat Bayer Leverkusen over two legs, it should not come as too much of a surprise if they manage to win the tournament.
Bayer Leverkusen are certainly a team to look out for. According to online sportsbook sites in Italy, the German team are the least likely to win the Europa League. However, a semi-final is anyone’s game, and they could pull it off. Managed by the former Liverpool, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich Spanish midfielder, Xabi Alonso will be aiming to defeat his former manager over two legs.
