There is no legal gambling in Libya. The Libyan parliament, upon the results of the polls on December 4, 2013, announced the imposition of the Sharia Laws as the main source of legislation in Libya. According to the Sharia gambling in Libya is illegal. This prohibition has also been institutionalized even before 2013 within the Libyan Penal Code where gambling in explicitly prohibited.  Although it is not explicitly prohibited, these laws also make online gambling in Libya, illegal. There is a strict internet control over gambling websites.
