Gambling Laws in Kyrgistan

Various forms of gambling in Kyrgyzstan are legal as of May 2018. Within the Kyrgyz gambling legislation, the laws which allow legalization of sports betting have a special importance as they meant opening of part of the online gambling market in the country. In 2017 the Kyrgyz President, Almazbek Atambayev, signed the “On Lotteries” act which allows for the formation of a state-lottery and outlaws all games which are not organized by a state lottery. The establishment of the national lottery was postponed for the second half of 2018.  The regulatory body of the land-based and online gambling activities in the country includes administrative units working under the President of the country. According to Kyrgyz gambling laws minors, under 18 years of age are prohibited to participate in any gambling activities.
