gambling in Ghana are legal in much of their variety. Within the
Ghanaian gambling legislation, the
Gaming Act 2006 is considered to be the main regulatory acts of all gambling activities in the country. According to this acts all forms of land-based gambling are legal in Ghana. Online gambling is also considered to be legal, but only in regard of the online betting, as of November 2018.
The regulatory body of the land-based as well as online gambling activities in the country is the Gaming Commission of Ghana. The Gaming Commission is a body corporate established by the Gaming Act 2006, Act 721 with the main purpose of regulating, controlling, monitoring and supervising the operations of games of chance in the country.
According to
Ghanaian gambling laws minors, under 18 years of age are prohibited to participate in gambling activities.
