Apart from wondering when the games will resume, NBA talking is revolving these days around the draft speculations. The draft will most likely take place on June 25 in New York. As for now, there is no clear-cut NBA superstar, which makes looking at the 2020 NBA Draft betting odds intriguing. But, three prospects might have a good chance.

Unlike previous years, the 2020 NBA draft has no clear-cut favorite to be taken first. Most probably because several top contenders did not play a full college basketball season. However, despite much ambiguity, online sportsbooks in the United States have put up their predictions. After the workouts, some young players will likely leapfrog a bunch of other players. Thus, surprises are possible to hit the spectators.

By analyzing the best 2020 NBA draft betting odds, three strong contenders cannot be written off. They are James Wiseman with Memphis, LaMelo Ball in Australia, and Anthony Edwards of Georgia.

Wiseman is most certainly among the top prospects

Lots of spectators believe James Wiseman should be No. 1. Thus, his 2020 NBA draft betting odds stand at 3.00, as per Bwin Sports. Wiseman left Memphis Tigers in December after playing just a handful of games. He is 7-foot-1 with a 7-foot-5 wingspan. Before withdrawing from school Wiseman was dominant in college, especially that he runs the floor well.

However, there have been lots of questions about his work ethic and consistency. Besides, there is still much uncertainty about his shoot selection and defensive tendencies. Despite that, should Wiseman compete in pre-draft workouts, he will be among the top prospects.

LaMelo Ball has a great ability to make an immediate impact

LaMelo Ball has been playing professionally for Illawarra in the Australian Basketball League from October to January. He averaged 17 points, seven assists, and 7.5 rebounds. According to online sportsbook news in the United States, LaMelo enters the draft as the most qualified player who can make an immediate impact. With his great basketball IQ, he has the chance to become an All-Star in the future. That makes him one of the favorites for No. 1 with 4.25 odds.

However, LaMelo faces some issues that need to be sorted out. First and foremost, he is a mess defensively constantly finding himself out of position. He also does not shoot the ball all that well. However, he is only 18 years old. Thus, there is plenty of room for him to develop physically and be taught to do better in defense.

Edwards ticks all the boxes for No. 1

Anthony Edwards of Georgia leads the top three with 2.20 odds. He is 6-foot-5 guard played 32 games for the Bulldogs. Edwards ticks all the boxes. He has great athleticism, a decent shooting stroke, a solid handle, and an NBA body. Not to mention that he has sufficient tools to be a lockdown defender. Although he had a very inconsistent season which is not his fault, he is very much still learning the game.
