Will the Cavaliers Make History on Sunday?

Lebron James has helped turn the tides, and it now seems more likely than ever that the Cavaliers make history by becoming the only team to bounce back from a 3-1 deficit to win the title.

It has been a rough week for Warriors fans. After leading the series 3-1, Golden State has struggled to find success. Fouls were given, players were ejected, and mouthpieces were thrown. The series has now come to 3-3, and unless the Warriors can regain the top form they showed in the early final games, it seems likely that the Cavaliers make history.

The talking point out of the past two games has been the questionable referee decisions. In game 4, Draymond Green hit Lebron James in the groin after James stepped over him. That turned out to be a costly move, as Green was suspended for game 5. The warriors lost that game, and have seemed incapable of recovering ever since.

The usually mild mannered Stephen Curry also made gambling news this week, after throwing his mouthpiece at a taunting fan. Curry was given a number of highly debatable fouls by the referees before the incident, and it seems his frustrations boiled over. Curry is claiming the throw was directed at the scorer’s table, but it seemed to be headed straight at the Cavs fan. Take a look at the video below and judge for yourself.

Records are meant to be broken

Lebron James has reignited the debate over who is the current best player in the NBA. His performances over the past two games have been nothing short of phenomenal, and if he can ride this wave, the Cavaliers may be holding a championship trophy on Sunday night.

Coming back from down 3-1 would not be the only way the Cavaliers make history. It would also be the first time the Cavs have won an NBA final, and the first Cleveland sports team to win a championship title in 52 years. The timing could not be better, with Cleveland-based UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic recently winning the championship belt by knocking out Fabricio Werdum.

What do you think? Will the Cavaliers make history on Sunday night? Can the Warriors regain the form they showed earlier? Leave your comments below, and make sure to check out GamingZion’s online sportsbooks in the US for a full list of the best sports betting websites online!
