It’s unclear at this point when the next movie will be released, but Paddy Power members can already bet on who will be the main villain in the next Bond film.
The last James Bond movie, Spectre, was released back in October of 2015. Critical reception was mixed, and the film’s lead actor famously told the media he would rather “slit my own wrists” than play the famous spy character again.
That prompted us at GamingZion to cover the odds for who will play Bond next, and now you can go one step further and place a bet on who will be the main villain in the next Bond film.
There aren’t many online sportsbooks in the UK offering these great novelty bets nowadays, so let’s take a look at the odds for a few possibilities set by Paddy Power.
Next Bond villain betting odds
UK gambling news broke recently that Craig would indeed reprise his role as James Bond, but no word is out yet as to who will play his enemy. At the moment, Christolph Waltz is leading the betting odds at 4/11. Waltz was the main villain in the most recent film, and as he didn’t die in that movie it would make sense for him being the antagonist in the next one.
Of course, the 25th film in the franchise will likely try to raise their bar with a new story, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see someone new who will be the main villain in the next Bond film. Charlie Hunnam is one name being tossed around, and his odds are relatively high at 8/1.
Perhaps the best option in terms of making money is to bet on Michael Fassbender being the next Bond villain. He was actually one of the favorites to play Bond next, and would likely make a great villain. Fassbender’s odds are set at 20/1.
Who will be the main villain in the next Bond film? No one knows at this point. Head to Paddy Power to place your bet, and tell us who you think it will be in the comment section below!
