Van Hoof, Jacobson and Stephenson Qualify for Final Third of WSOP Main Event

World Series of Poker Main Event has seen the final three competitors make their way to the last stage of this year’s tournament where they will fight to win $10,000,000.
After completing a total of 244 hands which lasted for nearly half a day, WSOP is prepared to showcase the most thrilling encounter of the popular poker tournament. The three finalists are Jorryt Van Hoof (Netherlands), Martin Jacobson (Sweden) and Felix Stephenson (Norway), and each of them have scored 89,625,000, 64,750,000, and 46,100,000 in chips respectively.
US gambling news reports that regardless of how they finish on the podium every single player that enters the last round will stand to receive a guaranteed sum of $3,807,753. Sealing a second place finish will be rewarded with a cool $5,147,911 while the winner of the whole competition will score a staggering $10,000,000 grand prize.
The final round continues shortly in Las Vegas
The final round of the tournament is set to take place at 5:30 PT in Las Vegas and is looking to continue its airing run on the popular ESPN. Although some games of chance are frowned upon in the US, poker is rather considered a game that requires skill which does not rely on luck and is fully supported by US gambling laws.
Some of the other prominent players that showed considerable promise to enter the last round hailed from North and South America and also Europe. William Tonking finished 4th ($2,849,763), Billy Pappas 5th ($2,143,794) and Andoni Larrabe ended 6th ($1,622,080). Dan Sindelar came in 7th ($1,235,862), while Bruno Politano ($947,077) and Mark Newhouse ($730,725) finished 8th and 9th respectively.
