New York Rangers

The New York Rangers are in a transitional period, but, like always, they’re still favored to win big at the Eastern Conference and Stanley Cup playoffs. Their team boasts elite defense led by defenseman Ryan McDonagh, while all-star goalie Henrik Lundqvist continues to be one of the Rangers’ star players.

While the Rangers are already in the upper lines of online sportsbooks in the US for the 2015/16 NHL, if they could only improve their offense a little, they’d be pushed right to the top spot.

US NHL betting odds for the New York Rangers: 10.00 (9/1)

Philadelphia Flyers

This 2015/16 NHL season, the Philadelphia Flyers have new management, new rookies, and a new shot at the playoffs. They could be crippled by their lackluster defense, but could also be saved by their deadly offence and promising goalie Steve Mason. Only time will tell if the Flyers’ big team rebuild will pay off in the end.

US NHL betting odds for the Philadelphia Flyers: 41.00 (40/1)

Pittsburgh Penguins

Due to a surplus of injuries, the Pittsburgh Penguins’ last season was surprising and disappointing. However, fans of hockey and internet betting have high hopes that this year won’t be a repeat performance, as suggested in the 2015/16 NHL betting picks. How could it be, with a team filled with all-stars like Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Marc-Andre Fleury?

While the Penguins did make some changes to their roster, the acquisition of forward Phil Kessel only improves their already stunning offense. So as long as they stay healthy this year, there’s no reason that the Penguins won’t make it to the playoffs.

US NHL betting odds for the Pittsburgh Penguins: 13.00 (12/1)

San Jose Sharks

It shocked hockey fans and fans of NHL betting online alike when the San Jose Sharks failed to make the playoffs last year. However, there’s still a strong belief that they have the experience and talent to make them this season. This is due in part to the necessary changes that they made following 2014/15’s disappointing run, which included adding a number of new players to back up aging stars Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton.

US NHL betting odds for the San Jose Sharks: 26.00 (25/1)

St. Louis Blues

The St. Louis Blues are inarguably an elite team and one of the best in the league. They’re champions of the Central Division and have a loaded roster led by superstar forward Vladimir Tarasenko. No question about it: They’ll be making the playoffs and have a clear shot at the Stanley Cup finals. So keep an eye out for them on NHL hockey betting lines if you’re looking for an easy win.

US NHL betting odds for the St. Louis Blues: 11.00 (10/1)

Tampa Bay Lightning

The Tampa Bay Lightning were a juggernaut in the 2014/15 season, and this year they are once again Eastern Conference favorites. Some fans argue that they’re the best team in the NHL right now, which is a fair statement to make, given that their roster includes fantastic players like Steven Stamkos, Tyler Johnson, Nikita Kucherov, and Ondrej Palat.

It’ll take a lot to bring down the Lightning in 2015/16, so don’t be afraid to put big money on them when doing NHL betting online. It’s borderline impossible that they won’t make it into the playoffs this year.

US NHL betting odds for the Tampa Bay Lightning: 11.00 (10/1)

Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals may not be a perfect team yet, but they are getting there, if their 2014/15 performance was any indication. They inarguably have a strong core of players, among them forwards Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom, who are a deadly pair, and goalie Braden Holtby, who is approaching elite status.

The Capitals smartly kept their roster more or less intact in the off-season, and flanked it with lots of rising young talent. If their strong players can maintain or improve on their performances from last year, the team has the potential to go far this year—and to become a name to watch in online casinos in the US.

US NHL betting odds for the Washington Capitals: 19.00 (18/1)
