With the 2015/16 NHL in full swing, now’s the time for American hockey fans to look at online sportsbooks in the US. To be sure that you win big during this year’s playoffs, read on with part two of three of GamingZion’s three part comprehensive list of teams and US NHL early odds for the Stanley Cup, featuring odds from Intertops’ new online sportsbook!
Dallas Stars
This season’s NHL betting odds are looking good for the Dallas Stars. They missed the playoffs last year, but you can be sure that they’ll get a shot at the Stanley Cup in 2015/16. This is thanks to a productive off-season, in which they brought in much-needed experience, defense, and goaltending. Talented forwards like Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn are expected to make plenty of goals, while Johnny Oduya and John Klingberg beef up the Stars’ formerly struggling defense.
US NHL early odds for the Dallas Stars: 29.00 (28/1)
Detroit Red Wings
This year, the Detroit Red Wings have a new coach, a surplus of young talent, and a roster of aging stars. The mix could either spell success or failure for Motown’s hockey team, which makes them a risky choice when internet betting in US. The Red Wings have some strong veterans at its core, but this is problematized by the fact that they make up the majority of the team and are inarguably in decline. It’ll be up to newcomers like Tomas Tatar, Gustav Nyquist, and Dylan Larkin to pick up the inevitable slack.
US NHL early odds for the Detroit Red Wings: 26.00 (25/1)
Florida Panthers
The Florida Panthers don’t have the best track record, having finished with the fifth-worst PDO in the league last year, but there’s a lot of potential for them this season so US players should keep them in mind when online betting. They have a lot of young talent on their team, including forwards Aleksander Barkov and Nick Bjugstad and 2014 top rookie Aaron Ekblad. It’ll be up to these young players to give the Panthers the push they need to get into the playoffs.
US NHL early odds for the Florida Panthers: 51.00 (50/1)
Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings suffered in the 2014/15 NHL, failing to even qualify for the playoffs when they’d won the Stanley Cup just the year prior. They’ve since made some significant roster changes and attempts to fix their off-ice issues in the hopes of regaining respect at the Western Conference.
This year is a year of redemption for the Kings after last year’s embarrassing season. They’re fighting to bring their team back to an elite level, and this season’s NHL betting picks suggests that they’ll do just that.
US NHL early odds for the Los Angeles Kings: 17.00 (16/1)
Minnesota Wild
The Minnesota Wild were one of the best defensive teams in the 2014/15 season and online casinos in the US are expecting them to have another strong run in 2015/16. The defense pairing of Ryan Suter and Jonas Brodin is one of the best in the NHL, while new forwards like Mikael Granlund and Jason Zucker are improving the team’s power play.
The Wild’s massive success in this season’s NHL hockey betting lines, however, is largely accredited to goalie Devan Dubnyk, who received the majority of the accolades for last year’s success and who is expected to perform just as well this year.
US NHL early odds for the Minnesota Wild: 13.00 (12/1)
Nashville Predators
There are high hopes for the Nashville Predators this 2015/16 season, who’ve got a bolstered roster that consists of top defense pairing Shea Weber and Roman Josi, goalie Pekka Rinne, and a number of promising new forwards. The Central Division is considered one of the toughest in the NHL, but with their new and improved team, the Predators are already being considered frontrunners for the title.
US NHL early odds for the Nashville Predators: 21.00 (20/1)
New Jersey Devils
The young players of the New Jersey Devils are undergoing some growing pains. They have talent, and definitely have the potential to become great players, but you can bet on it taking a few years. This severely threatens the Devils’ chances of making it into the playoffs, and sends their NHL betting odds plummeting.
If the Devils ever hope to have a chance at the Cup, they have to greatly improve their offense, stop relying so much on their aging players, and slowly rebuild their team with rookies.
US NHL early odds for the New Jersey Devils: 101.00 (100/1)
New York Islanders
The New York Islanders are embarking on a new era – one that could include a Stanley Cup. They currently have some of the best forwards in the league, led by the deadly John Tavares, and their number of goals is only expected to go up this NHL season. Their killer offense is supported by defensemen Nick Leddy and Johnny Boychuck and some stable goaltending.
This year’s NHL betting tips all agree: The Islanders have become a serious threat in the Eastern Conference, and are ready to finally prove themselves in the playoffs.
US NHL early odds for the New York Islanders: 21.00 (20/1)
