Daniel Price from New Jersey is seriously considering filing a lawsuit, in an attempt to get permission to use medical pot in casino in Atlantic City.
Michelle Douglass, the lawyer of Price, said for the gambling news that Revel Casino Hotel, didn’t respond adequately to his client’s disability, as a security guard at the location didn’t let him in the casino with his marijuana.
Special situation
This case is interesting as Price is legally allowed to use pot for medical reasons, which helps him with an unpleasant bowel disease, according to his comment.
As per the State law, registered patients are advised to smoke at home, but they are not legally banned to do it in private firms’ premises as well.
This might turn into a precedent case if filed in the courtroom, which hasn’t happened yet.
Revel Casino Hotel, which follows all US gambling laws, hasn’t issued a statement on the case so far.
