  • Champions League continue this week with quarter-finals
  • All games are played in Lisbon, only one game decides the ties
  • Atalanta vs PSG on Wednesday, RB Leipzig vs Atletico Madrid on Thursday

The Champions League continues this week with the quarter-finals, starting this Wednesday with Atalanta vs PSG. While on Thursday RB Leipzig will play against Atletico Madrid. In the UCL quarter-finals betting predictions the bigger teams are the favourites, but really anything can happen at this stage.

All remaining games of the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League season will be played in the Portuguese capital, Lisbon including the final on the 23rd of August. Just one game will decide the winner in all ties, making the final stages of the tournament even more exciting. The Atalanta vs PSG game will be the first quarter-final on Wednesday, followed by RB Leipzig vs Atletico Madrid in the following evening. The Italian team is this season’s big surprise, following their 3rd-place finish in the Serie A and reaching the quarter-finals in the UCL. Still PSG are the favourite to go through just like Atletico Madrid in the other pair.

UCL quarter-finals betting predictions expect tight games on the first two days

Online sportsbooks in Portugal are predicting the victory of French giant Paris Saint-Germain with the odds of 2.05 at Bet365 Sportsbook. They won the French Ligue 1 in April for the 7th time in the last eight years following the cancellation of further games in the league. So the players had plenty of time to prepare for this game, but the long break could also be a disadvantage. As PSG only played two competitive matches since March. The French Cup against St Etienne and the French League Cup against Lyon who are also in the quarter-finals. The Parisians won both games, but lost a crucial player, Kylian Mbappe due to an ankle injury. According to the latest news he might be able to play Wednesday, but even without him the team has a very strong squad which will be very difficult to beat.

UCL quarter-finals betting predictions
Let’s play!

Of course, Atalanta will try it and they are not totally hopeless in the UCL quarter-finals betting predictions either. Their odds to win the game is  3.30 at Bet365 Sportsbook. They had a superb season so far, finishing as a runner-up behind Manchester City in Group C and also knocking out Valencia in the last 16 with 8-4 on aggregate. But this is their first time in the Champions League with not much international experience. Plus the Italians will miss one of their best players, Slovenian striker Josip Ilicic due to personal reasons. We have to see if routine and the stronger squad will finally overcome the dark horse of the tournament.

Atletico have the better chance to go through

Thursday night another exciting game is waiting for all football fans where German side RB Leipzig will play against Atletico Madrid. Leipzig have also been quite successful this season after finishing 3rd in the Bundesliga. Though at one point they were leading the league it was still a great result from a team full of young talents. One of them, Timo Werner has already been signed by Chelsea but there are still many great players in the team.

Of course, Leipzig won’t have an easy job against more experienced Atletico Madrid, who have already reached the final of the tournament twice before.  Under the leadership of Diego Simeone, the team is capable of anything, even knocking out defending champions Liverpool. They can also rely on the saves of top class goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who is one of the best at the moment. Online gambling sites in Portugal are offering the odds of 2.37 for the Spanish win, while Leipzig’s victory has the odds of 3.00 at Bet365 Sportsbook.
