Maggie Greene is the hot chic on the show and the last member of the loved Greene family. How would she act in a casino?
Spoiler Alert!
Pre-apocalypse, Maggie worked at her father, Hershel’s farm. Since her mother died and her father remarried, she had a harder start in life. As her family, she is (or at least used to be) deeply religious. As tragedy hit her again and again, her faith started to weaken and fade away. We cannot say that she doesn’t believe in God anymore, but her belief has been dwindling away during the last few seasons.
• Maggie became stronger
• She’s losing her faith
• Would be great at horse race betting
She has great love for everyone in her family and the group. She fell in love with Glenn and now they’re married, she never gave up on him even when they lost each other after the prison was overrun. Before she met Rick and the group, it was her who went into town for supply runs. When the team shows up, she goes to the pharmacy with Glenn where they have sex, although on the way back to the farmhouse, Maggie says that it was only a one-time thing and that it wouldn’t happen again. Sometimes she’s indecisive, so she would be better at mobile casino gambling, because at a live gaming table, her reactions would be too easily read.
With each episode, she becomes stronger
We’ve established that she would never become a poker winner and at the beginning she seemed weak, but independent. Her weaknesses are all a part of the fact that she and her family stayed on the farm and were somewhat (although not totally) isolated from incidents happening around them. Anyhow, when Maggie first appears, we can see she has potential to grow into a great fighter. Being raised on a farm, she has experience in many outdoorsy activities, which is a definite plus in, for example, the apocalypse. She’s also great with horses (she would love betting on them on online sportsbooks in the US.)
Her independence and a hint of rebelliousness can be glimpsed when Hershel warns her about Glenn. He suspects that something is going on between the two of them, and tries to insinuate that Glenn and the group will be leaving anyways. To this, Maggie retorts that she’s old enough to do whatever she wants. This scene shows her determinate and rebel side from two points of view: one, saying no to her father, the leader of the family and two, ignoring Christian rules about having sex before marriage. Maggie has a mind of her own and form these aspects we see that she has a fighter’s spirit.
With each loss, she becomes darker
We’re at Season 5. Beth is dead, and we can see Maggie’s spirit dying away. She has experienced so much loss; her siblings, her father and her mother (before the apocalypse,) that we can see her slowly closing in. Before these events, she seemed like one of the few people in the group who would be able to live through such tragedies and find hope to hold onto. But now, she’s fading away. Glenn is trying to bring her back from her dark place, but fails constantly. Maggie became strong, but even a strong person cannot take so much tragedy. In Alexandria, she has gotten a new role as an advisor, which might give her new meaning (if the group can stay after Rick’s meltdown.)
In her current state of mind, she would be horrible at a casino. Since she has little left to lose, she wouldn’t care about anything she would sit at the bar and drink, with occasionally playing on slots. She would hate all the people having a good time, and wouldn’t talk to anyone (maybe Glenn.) This is why I think she would rather stay at home and play on mobile betting sites, probably betting on horse races. She would be good at it, too, because she does have knowledge of horses. Maybe she would even consider going out and experiencing a live horse race at the tracks, because she loves the outdoors.
