Right now online sportsbook sites in the UK like Bet365 are offering 11/8 odds on the Labour Party winning the most seats at the next election. Until just recently, taking up that bet on the Labour Party would have been somewhat insane. They were a mess. But now the shoe is on the other foot and it’s the Conservatives in a stew. Their leader is under police investigation, they could be islamaphobic and corruption still hangs in the air. So Labour could well be laughing.

Labour can’t lose with this one. In option one Boris Johnson clings on to power and continues to make the Conservatives look foolish. Option two sees the Conservative Party ousting Boris and then killing each other to get his job. No wonder Keir Starmer, the Labour leader, looks so pleased. Not that you should bet on Boris Johnson leaving without a fight, that’s why those odds on the Labour Party haven’t shifted yet. The bookies are waiting to see who takes up the reigns.

Plus, of course, that leadership battle will take its toll. No party looks good squabbling amongst itself. Thus online bookies in the UK like Bet365 are playing it safe on the next election. Not that they believe Boris can survive. They’re doling out odds on Boris Johnson leaving No.10 this year of just 2/7. So they’ve seen the writing on the wall. Which is why you might feel those odds on the Labour Party are starting to look a tempting bet on politics in the UK. How can they lose?

Partygate Leaves Johnson Under Pressure And Investigation

Once the Labour Party was in retreat over antisemitism, now we have a Conservative, Nusrat Ghani, sacked for her “muslimness”. Boris has ordered a Cabinet Office enquiry into the matter. Not that you ought hold your breath. You’ll not find very short odds on the Conservatives admitting their inherent racism just yet. They’ll wait till Rishi Sunak is in charge before they try that. However even from the long grass that will start to push down those odds on the Labour Party.

Next UK Election Odds (Most Seats)

  • UKIP – 200/1
  • Green Party – 100/1
  • Reform Party – 100/1
  • Liberal Democrats – 50/1
  • Labour Party – 11/8
  • Conservative Party – 4/7

After all, who else are people going to vote for? The Liberal Democrats can, perhaps, take a few seats from the Tories. That’s true. But would it be enough? If the leading Conservative leadership candidates tear strips off each other? Maybe. We’d need to see big swings in some unlikely seats, but it could happen. Although you’d need to be quite brave to take advantage of UK gambling laws to bet on the Liberal Democrats. Especially with those odds on the Labour Party right now.

Bet365 Has All The Best Odds On The Labour Party Winning

People haven’t forgotten the Liberal Democrats betrayal when they entered a coalition with the Tories. So whilst they may get more seats that they currently have, they’re not a real factor. So as the nation swings away from the tainted Tories the opposition is the only sensible choice. Hence we can expect the odds on the Labour Party to shrink as the Conservatives dig themselves in deeper. Much deeper. Each new ridiculous defense of Johnson just makes the it more inevitable.

Boris Johnson Exit Date Odds

  • 2024 – 5/1
  • 2023 – 13/2
  • 2022 – 2/7

So you can bet on the Labour Party to labour (pardon the pun) the point. They’ve no end of easy ammunition to hurl at the Conservatives now. The Gray Report, a police inquiry, an inquiry into Islamaphobia and all those little pesky lies Boris told. It’s rich pickings. So you can bet on Keir Starmer to keep on pushing, and the Conservatives to keep crumbling. Thus picking up those odds on the Labour Party at online betting sites in the UK like Bet365 is now a really good idea.
