The Largest Casino in India Is Preparing for the Grand Opening

India’s casino industry is growing; the Deltin Resort in Daman has opened its doors and its casino is waiting to receive a license.

The Delta Corporation has now opened its Deltin Resort located in Daman, on the Arabian Sea coast. The casino located inside the resort is waiting for the official approval from local authorities. Once the gambling venue receives a license under Indian gambling laws, it is going to be the largest casino in India.

Delta chairman Jaydev Mody told reporters: “I am confident that it will reshape the face of the industry in India.” The opening of the casino resort is a “milestone”, he said, adding that it “underlines our efforts to provide luxurious yet accessible gaming and hospitality destinations in the country.”

Casino opening “very shortly”

According to local gambling news, the 60,000 square ft gambling venue attached to the Deltin Resort is set to open “very shortly.”

Apart from being India’s largest casino, it will also become the first gambling venue to operate outside the province of Goa. The region of Daman, as well as its neighboring district of Diu are considered union territories. This means they are administered directly by the federal government.
