This issue discusses Saturday night’s clash between Barcelona and Real Madrid, the biggest game in club football, so let’s see the best El Clasico odds!
Barcelona v Real Madrid, the greatest derby in Spanish football. El Clasico, they call it. It’s the type of game when you don’t need to be too busy studying all kinds of statistics and the recent forms of the teams. It might give you a hint, but you never know for sure in El Clasico. Even online sportsbooks in Spain are clueless when it comes to predicting the best El Clasico odds.
The BET on the best El Clasico odds
Daniel – I partially disagree with Bence’s introduction. Usually it is an unpredictable game indeed but I think it is pretty easy to foresee that Barcelona will roll over Real Madrid once again this time. As long as the MSN forward line is fit, regardless of the managerial change at Los Blancos, this fixture is just a mismatch at the moment. Zinedine Zidane might start to build a team formed by his vision in the future, but at the moment I don’t think that they can seriously challenge Barca.
Looking at the squads, there is still an enormous gap between the MSN and the BBC forward lines. Bale, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo might form the second best attacking unit in the world but there is still a long distance to cover for them. Alright, Messi and Suarez might be more tired than usual after the South American World Cup qualification matches and the long travel. But Neymar Jr. had to sit out Brazil’s second game against Paraguay due to suspension, so he will be one of the freshest players on the pitch. Goals might come from the Brazilian magician, so think of this when browsing the best El Clasico odds. All in all I expect a big Barcelona win, similar to their game in last November.
Prediction: Barcelona to win for 1.57 (4/7) at Bet365 Sportsbook
David – There may be no bigger game in football than El Classico, but this weekend it’ll be another team from Madrid occupying the minds’ of Barcelona’s players. Barca are nine points clear at the top of La Liga, with one hand on the trophy. However, they dream of being the first team to retain the Champions League, where they meet Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night. Atleti were the last team to knock Barcelona out of Europe, at the quarter final stage in 2013/14, and the Blaugrana’s season depends on whether they can avoid that fate this time.
Real Madrid, however, will not be too troubled by the prospect of playing Wolfsburg mid-week. Their fixture against the Bundesliga’s eighth-placed team means that Los Merengues can concentrate fully on Barcelona. After a disappointing season, they’ll want to redeem some pride. They’ve been playing better in recent weeks, most recently thrashing Sevilla 4-0. Despite that, a draw seems likely: even if Barca are a little distracted, they still have a frontline of Messi, Neymar, and Suarez! Look for both teams to score when checking the best El Clasico odds at internet betting sites in the EU, but don’t expect Barcelona to risk life and limb for a late winner.
Prediction: draw for 4.50 (7/2) at Bet365 Sportsbook
Bence – Barca might have won the previous encounter by a humiliating 0-4 scoreline at Bernabeu, however Rafa Benitez was at the helm of the Merengues back then, now it’s Zidane. The change definitely helped the team to improve slightly. Defeating their arch rival, who are in an amazing form, would be a major achievement for Los Blancos. They are the underdogs for Saturday’s game and that’s something that doesn’t happen too often in La Liga.
The Blaugrana have not been defeated since 3rd of October, 2015. They have played 39 games since then, so the El Clásico will be the 40th. 33 wins and 7 draws, incredible stats. However, all good things must come to an end eventually. Barcelona have been performing way too impressively lately. I believe that this Saturday could be the turning point for the season. If Real Madrid want a chance in the league even if only for the second place, they must win against Luis Enrique’s men. I believe they will be capable of doing so.
