SwedishApp Store Clashed with Local Gambling Authority

Lotteriinspektionen, the Swedish Gambling Authority, made Apple remove several gambling applications from the App Store.
Lotteriinspektionen, the national regulator body in Sweden, has declared its concerns in connection with some major operators servicing mobile betting applications. The Swedish Gambling Authority has complained about unlicensed operators to Sweden’s most popular cellphone enterprise, Apple.
As a response, the American technology giant has excluded the doubted applications from the App Store until the problem with the licenses is solved. This means that a vast number of apps were deleted from Apple’s market.Some of them were not very well-known but the list contains famous and popular brand names such as Bet365, Betfair and Unibet.
Swedish operator ATG was the first one to be reviewed by the regulators
AB Trav och Galopp (ATG), a Swedish national horse racing betting operator, was the first bookmaker to be revised by the national gambling authority of the Scandinavian country in recent times. According to Swedish gambling news, the regulatory body identified several issues regarding the functioning of the company’s services.
The Scandinavian firm was ordered to gain more control over their transactions and improve the monitoring of real-time odds changing. In addition, ATG will have to add job descriptions for the staff members who work for securing the safety of the games, and the company also must review the registration of foreign exchange.
