Scandinavian Wunderkind Emre Mor Scouted By Just About Everyone

I begin to wonder if I shouldn’t be gambling news reports that there’s something in the water in Scandinavia will be forthcoming in the near future creating a scandal of public health that would dwarf even the earthquake of corruption surrounding FIFA. I feel certain there must be research into it by now, dedicated teams of scientists looking like refugees from Laboratoire Garner sifting through samples looking for whatever is causing quite so many Scandinavian wunderkind to be born.
Another One? Already?
• Emre Mor comes to the fore
• Danish U-19 scouted
• Teams line up to grab him
The fact that currently any teenager with the ability to kick a ball seems lauded as being the next great thing to come out of the frozen north, their every move monitored from such a young age that Operation Yew Tree would raise an eyebrow of concern. Teams from far and wide keep track of the progress of each new Scandinavian wunderkind in a manner that would make the men at the NSA tasked with tracking terrorists jealous of their network of informers.
Fortunately football as an institution assists in this, the wholly and entirely corrupt world of FIFA sits at the top of a remarkably well organized structure of levels that allows for the relatively natural progression of talent through the age ranges, the early stages almost nurturing in their coddling of potential, but by the time they’re playing for the U-19 squad for their country, many, many eyes fall upon these Scandinavian wunderkind, and their futures become a matter of speculation, both varieties.
Something In The Water? Don’t Bet On It!
The big name teams that are looking to secure their future player pool know that missing out on the next starlet of the pitch could be hugely damaging to their prospects and their profit margins. An investment today could mean that people who like to bet on sports in Denmark, for instance, will be seeking them out as a favored team rather than their opponents, be that in domestic or international football competitions. Hence they all look to sign up these Scandinavian wunderkinder.
Some of these young men fall by the wayside, but many go on to have lengthy and successful careers, it just seems that recently a great many of these are coming from the land of fjords where football is undergoing something of resurgence, especially at the grassroots level. My blaming something in the water far less likely than the sensible investments that local associations have made to encourage more involvement in the sport at an early age. Something many other nations still refuse to do.
Thus we have yet another Scandinavian wunderkind in the sporting headlines of potential fame and fortune. This time the young man hails from Denmark and isn’t quite as young as perhaps the ‘kind’ would imply having already reached 18. His name is Emre Mor and has apparently “impressed” at the junior levels of football, most notably in the Danish U-19 run at the European title which this week travels to the Mediterranean where they’ll play Iceland in Italy, and then Malta and Israel.
Scandinavian Wunderkind Under Observation In Malta
Having already played at U-17 and U-18 levels he’s already a few caps to his name and even a couple of goals for his country, but mostly what he has is a hoard of scouts from around Europe now dogging his every move. Manchester United, Liverpool, Ajax, Borussia Dortmund and even the hapless Chelsea are interested in this latest Scandinavian wunderkind but I wouldn’t rush off to take advantage of Danish gambling laws to back him choosing any of them just yet.
As Martin Odegaard, another Scandinavian wunderkind has made all too obvious, signing up for a big name team isn’t the dream come true that it might well be painted as being. His failure to find a place in Real Madrid’s first team apparently now gnawing away at his soul, despite still being too young to pay for a round of drinks. One can only wonder if Emre Mor will suffer the same fate of box a little more clever. The big name teams already have a team, at least at Chelsea you’d be guaranteed to get a game.
Of course you can wager on the U-19 qualifiers at sites like ComeOn! Sportsbook and whilst Israel currently top the group with Denmark only joint second with Iceland (having drawn their opening match in group 6), the fuss being made of Scandinavian wunderkind Emre Mor could indicate just how favored the Danes are, and the degree to which backing them would be one of a number of successful sports betting strategies those in the far flung north should consider.
