Robot sporting competitions
We dedicated this article to giving you examples of real robot sporting competitions. These events are the first forms of robot fights and robot racing events. Of course, nowadays it’s a little lowkey. However the closer we get to the technological era, the closer we are to seeing these pilots driving real gigantic robots against each other. We already have the Las Vegas Strip dedicated to F1. Why couldn’t we have the Eiffel Tower as a drone racing point?
In this article, I am going to talk about robot sporting competitions. Therefore, this is no longer just a hypothetical topic. Of course, robotics is still in children’s boots. However, we already saw some shows attempting to create a competition here. This means that in ten years we are going to have awesome advancements. To give you a good idea, I am going to give you both theory and facts. Make sure to register at the online sportsbook sites in the US.
Because the moment robot sports will be announced. Bovada will surely pick up on it to allow betting for the community. Because betting on these sports is going to redefine the aesthetics of wagering. You no longer put money on humans. Instead, you will put money into machines that will not be affected by headaches and jet lag. Only pure design and mechanical finesse.
Robot Sporting Competitions
Let’s start by giving you an idea of how robotics will be used in the future. Because there are many different ways in which robotics can manifest in sports. Register at Bovada Sportsbook to receive the latest robot sports.
First, let me highlight that Esport FIFA returns in 2023. Which is the first form of humans controlling bots in a soccer game. However, there are many other ways in which we can imagine robots. For example, we can ignore physicality, and focus on the codes to let robots compete in games.
This is already the reality in the form of eSports. Furthermore, we could have competitive shooting if we use robots. After all, metal devices can’t get hurt by bullets or bullet-like projectiles. This means we can build a glass stadium where these robots are remotely controlled. The possibilities are endless for both full-robot and semi-robot solutions.
The Robot Olympiad
Now that we got the basics of robot sporting competitions out of the way. Let’s talk about the first form of professional robotics competition. This is not a huge Olympics of robots yet. Instead, this focuses on promoting young engineers. Because the young engineers who work in these expensive workshops today. Will turn into the manufacturers and robot controllers of the future. According to the WRO Association, there are four main categories:
- Robomision – Programming robots that can solve issues on the spot.
- Robosports – Therefore, two teams compete with their constructions.
- Future Innovators – These guys will build robots and become the future of robot manufacturers.
- Future Engineers – Finally, we have the category for innovators. These are older students who upgrade their old robots.
In conclusion, this is the first event that supports the advancement of children toward robotics. And the event is extremely fun.
Robot Fighting – Robot Sporting Competitions
Most of us are here to talk about this. Robot fighting is probably one of the most sought-after events in the world. Because we have current boxing and fighting. Which is entertaining to watch. However, it comes with serious consequences and injuries. On the other hand, we love to see gigantic constructions destroyed. Furthermore, we are fans of cute mini-robots deconstructing each other.
In another article, I had the phenomenon of marble racing explained. People love to see objects over humans because objects can not scam the game. We have an active fear of being deceived by business owners and team managers. This is no longer a fear with robots in the ring destroying each other.
Can We Have Mech Fights?
The previous topic brings up a good debate about robot sporting competitions. Can we have mech fights? Many people want to see humans involved with robots. Therefore, they prefer if humans were the controllers of these robots.
I believe it gives a great opportunity for non-athletic people to get into a competitive environment. According to the New Atlas, the first attempt was successful. America won against Japan in developing a fighting robot. However, this topic brings up a good question: What if robots were driving cars?
We would see a whole new category of racing if robots could drive NASCAR or F1 cars, or motorcycles. We no longer have the risk of humans getting injured at maximum speed. This would cause a lot of financial damage to the teams. But this is why they earn billions.
Running With Robotics? – Robot Sporting Competitions
Let’s talk about robots and running. Because we already have a robot that performs incredible stunts for Disney. This indicates that soon more and more companies are going to purchase usable robots for their service. But when are we going to create an Olympics for robots to jump against each other? Can we create robots to run against each other in fields? Most definitely. We already have attempted robot dogs to replace greyhound racing.
This means that we are going to see the day when robots will run against each other. However, I believe humans will make a new sport with additional robots. With complex fields and blockades which require enhanced jump and wall-running. This is an extreme example of the use of robotics in sports.
The Drone Racing League
Finally, we have reached the last competition I wish to talk about. Mainly because it is under-represented for now. This is the Drone Racing League. According to Reddit, most people prefer to see robots replacing humans in impossible sports. This means they still want their old sports. However, they would love new sports exclusive to robots. The Drone Racing league offers something similar to this.
First, this is a video game format for now. However, if the sport becomes popular I am sure that soon we are going to see these pilots controlling real-time drones. It wouldn’t be impossible. All they need is a University Campus. From one of the nearby towers, they could host the event, and use the campus as a drone racing field.
