After a long break which saw many national sides go head to head, the Premier League is back and ready to showcase us what we’ve all been missing.
Sporting enthusiasts will have a great chance to make a killing with their betting exploits this weekend, thanks to the superb games in the top flight of English football. The international encounters were welcomed by many supporters, but the time is now right to get back into the fight for the biggest club crown of the beautiful sport.
• Arsenal set up for a clash against Liverpool
• Aston Villa will play Man United away
• Swansea and Hull will go head to head
UK gambling news report that Arsenal are gearing up to face Liverpool in game that should see the home side clinch a win. Southampton will travel to Liverpool where they will play against Everton, while Manchester United will play Aston Villa at Old Trafford. And lastly Swansea City will square off against Hull City at home, however the match bears a great deal of uncertainty considering the performances of both teams.
Arsenal vs Liverpool and Everton vs Southampton
Arsenal currently sit in 3rd spot with an overall of 60 points. At the beginning of the season they didn’t amount to much, however now they find themselves right behind defending champions Man City, with only a point dividing them. While playing at home, Arsene Wenger’s men have managed to win on 10 occasions, while recording 3 draws and only 1 loss. Bet365 has set the odds for Arsenal to win at 1.83 (5/6), an event that will probably happen.
Liverpool were one of the two contenders for the title last season, however now they are regarded as an average team without their former start striker Luis Suarez. Brendan Rodgers had a tough time adjusting the newly assembled squad at the start of the season, but now they have progressed to 5th place. On the road they won a cool 8 times, however they have also lost 5 games and 1 draw as well. That is why their chances are slim 4.30 (33/10).
Everton will go head to head with Southampton, a side that have impressed many big sides for standing up to them until recently. The Toffees have not enjoyed a great run this year considering they only managed to collect 34 points which granted them 13th position on the table. So far they have recorded 4 wins, 7 draws and 3 losses at Goodison Park, stats that are quite disappointing considering they have some promising players within their squad.
Southampton were fearsome for quite some time this season, however after a while of holding on to the top position in the Premier League, they have slumped to 6th spot. Overall, they claimed 53 points until now and their form over the last 5 away games has seen them win 3 while the other 2 ended in a draw and a 1 loss. Mobile betting sites have given them slightly lesser odds 2.80 (9/5), while a win for the hosts stands at 2.63 (18/11).
Manchester United vs Aston Villa and Swansea vs Hull City
Luois van Gaal’s men have experienced ups and downs this season as they found it challenging to qualify for a top spot on the table and essentially qualify for the Champions League. They have collected only 59 points so far which gave 4th place for their efforts. At Old Trafford they clinched an incredible 12 wins, 1 draw and only 2 losses, which is one of the best home records in the Premier League out of all the clubs.
They will next host Aston Villa and many online betting providers have outlined them as the obvious favorites 1.30 (3/10), while giving the traveling side unlikely chances 10.00 (9/1). A draw on the other hand stands at a high 5.50 (9/2), however considering the great differences between the two, the match should see the home team seal an easy win.
Swansea have performed relatively well this season with the squad at their disposal. After 30 encounters they sit in 8th position claiming 43 points, finding themselves behind Tottenham who are in 7th with 53 points. At home they managed to win 7 games, however they also blundered many times as they tied 4 and even lost 4 matches. Luckily for them they will square off against Hull City, a team that doesn’t have a convincing away record.
The visiting side have won on 2 occasions while playing on the road, which is why the odds for them winning the upcoming game are small 4.20 (16/5). The other games away from home ended in 6 draw and staggering 7 losses, so it is easy to see why online sportsbooks in UK believe a tie 3.50 (5/2) may also be on the cards. With all of these stats in mind, Swansea will likely win 1.91 (10/11) the encounters in front of their home support.
