Prepare yourselves for a great weekend filled with action up ahead in the top flight of English football.
As we are approaching matchday 30 of the Premier League, all the clubs face more and more pressure in order to clinch a better position on the table. There are only a handful of games left on the calendar which should make way for some superb football encounters. This weekend sporting fans will have a chance to once again support their respective sides.
• Aston Villa aim to overcome Swansea at home
• Arsenal face tough challenge against Newcastle
• Man City strong favorites against West Brom
UK gambling news report that Newcastle host Arsenal in what should be a challenging task for the former side. Manchester City will have a chance to collect a few extra points at home against West Brom, while Aston Villa will go head to head with Swansea on their own ground. Burnley will visit Southampton where they will go up against a strong group of players.
Manchester City vs West Brom and Aston Villa vs Swansea
The current defending champions will play against West Brom, a team that are currently struggling in 13th place. The Baggies have so far claimed a total of 33 points and over the last five encounters on the road they have recorded negative results (4 draws and 1 loss). Bet365 therefore automatically assigned them outsider chances 8.50 () as they gear up to play at the Etihad.
The Sky Blues on the other have not been as convincing as last season when they claimed their second Premier League crown in 3 years. They have slipped up on a number of occasions this year, despite being in second place. Nevertheless, they are viewed as strong favorites 1.30 (3/10) for this encounter, considering the great differences between the two sides. A draw is not likely, which stands at a high 5.50 (9/2).
Aston Villa will square off against Swansea at home on Saturday afternoon, where they will aim to make the best of the fact that they are familiar with their surroundings. The Lions sit in a low 16th spot on the table as they have so far managed to only collect 28 points from 29 games. They have one of the worst home records in the league clinching only 3 wins, while the rest of the encounters ended in 5 draws and 6 losses.
Swansea are in a better position (9th place) having accumulated 40 points. However, in the last 5 games they lost on 3 occasions with the other 2 being victories, which makes them seem as a somewhat unstable team. While playing on the road they have sealed 4 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses, which has propelled mobile betting sites to give them odds of 3.00 (2/1). A win for the hosts stand at 2.38 (11/8) with a tie being 3.25 (9/4), per Bet365.
Newcastle vs Arsenal and Southampton vs Burnley
Newcastle find themselves in 11th spot with an overall of 35 points. At home they have recorded 6 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses, stats that are somewhat disappointing considering that they boast some quality players. However, no matter what team comes to St. James Park they always expect to play in a fearsome atmosphere thanks to the support of the fans. But even with this in mind, Bet365 has given the outsider chances 6.00 (5/1) for the match against Arsenal.
The Gunners just suffered elimination from the Champions League as they were unable to overcome French side Monaco. So they will be aiming to show what they are made of against The Magpies. Bet365 has earmarked them to win the game giving them odds of 1.57 (4/7), while a tie for the match has been set at a high 3.80 (14/5). This is sure to be one uncertain game as it could still go in either way.
Southampton will play Burnley at home where they will be looking to make progress up the table. Until recently they have claimed a high position in the league, however they lost form and focus which resulted in them being dropped to 6th position. They claim a total of 50 points, however their form has been uncertain in recent times (1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses).
Online sportsbooks in UK have decided to give them preferential odds against Burnley, a side that is in 18th spot and will likely be relegated to the Championship next season. Bet365 has assigned Ronald Koeman’s men strong odds of 1.40 (2/5), thanks to the promising squad they posses. A win for the visiting team is unlikely 7.50 (13/2), given their lack of experience in the Premier League. A tie on the other hand stands at 4.50 (7/2).
