We continue to look at some of the highly anticipated games this weekend in the Premier League.
After taking a look at the some of the games that will light up the Premier League this weekend we have come back to provide additional insight in what fans expect to see from their favorite football competition. UK gambling news reports that West Brom will battle it out against Hull City, whereas Crystal Palace will defend its colors against Tottenham Hotspur.
And then on Sunday Arsene Wenger will try everything he can to earn the all-important 3 points for the Gunners when they host Stoke City. The greatest test will come for Southampton who will lock horns against Manchester United. Both teams are fighting to gain extra ground in the Premier League in order to finish the season as far up as possible.
West Brom vs Hull City and Crystal Palace vs Tottenham
West Brom are dangerously close to the relegation zone and they haven’t been successful in winning games in recent times. They sit in 17th place with only 18 points with a home record of 2 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses from 20 matches. These stats will prove to be quite concerning to them as they prepare to host Hull City on Saturday afternoon.
• Tottenham will play against Crystal Palace on Saturday evening
• Arsenal should be able to overcome Stoke with relative ease
• Manchester United are favorites against Southampton
The visitors maintain a record of 2 wins, 4 draws and 4 losses while playing on the road, so their stats are also not very impressive and are rather ambiguous. Bet365 is certain that the home side will should be able to pull this one off and win the match 2.05 (21/20). Hull City on the other hand retain odds that don’t work in their favor 3.80 (14/5), whereas a tie between them also seems somewhat improbable 3.30 (23/10).
There seems to be no end to Crystal Palace’s misery as they just keep sinking lower and lower in the Premier League. They are now in 18th position with only 17 points from 20 games with a home record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 5 losses. Online sportsbooks in UK don’t have high hopes for them and they rather support Tottenham 2.15 (23/20) instead of the hosts.
The Spurs have been slightly invigorated since appointing Mauricio Pochettino as their manager. They sit comfortably in 5th place with 34 points and are even better than their main rivals Arsenal, who are stuck in 6th with 33 points. Taking into account that the Spurs are the superior team for this encounter it should be an easy win for them. A draw is also not on the agenda which Bet365 has set odds of 3.40 (12/5).
Arsenal vs Stoke City and Manchester United vs Southampton
Although the Gunners have made some serious reinforcements over the last summer, they still weren’t able to show their true talent in games. They managed to record 5 wins at the Emirates stadium however they have blundered on several occasions which has seen them draw three times and also lose once.
Luckily for Arsenal their next opponents are situated in the middle of the table and don’t possess that great of a record while playing on the road (3 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses). That is why Bet365 strongly favors Arsenal to seal a win 1.44 (4/9), whereas Stoke has been assigned unrealistic chances 8.00 (7/1). A draw between the two has been set at 4.33 (10/3), although taking into account the Gunner’s better squad they should be routine winners.
One of the biggest matches of the weekend is the last one which will see Manchester United take on Southampton at home. The Red Devils are enjoying solid form at the moment while Southampton are also making good progress and they find themselves in 3rd and 4th position respectively. Ronald Koeman’s team have recorded 4 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses while playing away which is why they have odds of 4.50 (7/2) for this game.
Louis van Gaal’s men have performed splendidly at Old Trafford notching 8 wins, 1 draw and only 1 loss. As per UK gambling laws Bet365 offers a wide range of betting options and for this game they favor Man United for the win 1.80 (4/5), while a draw has been set at 3.75 (11/4), although a win for the hosts seem the most probable event.
