The recent questionnaire is another sign proving the release of a PokerStars Daily Fantasy Sports game in the US.
PokerStars, the well-known online poker and casino game provider follows their plans to introduce the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS). The renowned company has decided to ask their former US customers some questions about their interest in the game. According to US gambling news each point of the survey was connected to DFS.
PokerStars’ e-mail campaign further proves that the words about a September release might be true. The industry rumors started after an interview at the beginning of 2015 with David Baazov, the CEO of Amaya Gaming who hinted at a late 2015 release. A September announcement would give them the advantage of a full NFL season.
A reminder to former US members
The difference between traditional and Daily Fantasy Sports is that the latter is played more often, on a daily or weekly basis. Players have to crate their dream team of real-life athletes and collect points based on set rules. In the daily version their team can change from day to day, according to the guidelines.
Earlier this year, there were some news about Amaya acquiring DraftDay, the third largest DFS site. Baazov confirmed to gambling news outlets that they’re sizing up the potentials for an acquisition, an internally developed product or their combination. Until then, with this e-mail poll they’ve achieved to raise the awareness of their former US clientele.
