Poker Stars Extends 2012 Asia Player of the Year Season

Poker Stars scheduled two new events for the 2012 Asia Player of the Year season.
Poker Stars Asia Player of the Year is growing in popularity rapidly, with more and more player from the region showing interest in the game of poker. The 2012 season of the competition is already enjoying great success and the poker operator is planning to build on that with two new events.
One of them – the Macau Poker Cup Championship will be held in full compliance with Chinese gambling laws and is scheduled to take place from September 7 to 16. Another one is the first ever Asia Pacific Poker Tour: Asia Championship of Poker – planned to run from October 26 all the way until November 11.
Both championships will be played at Grand Waldo Entertainment Complex in Macau. Naturally, besides the direct buy-in both event will offer numerous chances to qualify through satellites and other smaller events an one of the best online poker sites in China – Poker Stars.
China gambling news report that the Macau Poker Cup Championship will become the annual finale for the region’s premier poker series. The Championship’s main event will have a direct buy in of HKD $20,000 and a whopping HKD $4.5 million guaranteed prize pool. Not bad for the inaugural poker event.
The Asia Championship of Poker is even bigger with a main event buy-in of HKD $100,000 and a guaranteed prize pool of HKD $10 million. The poker event running through 17 days will host eighteen Asia Player of the Year poker events.
The most prestigious competitions besides the main event are the HKD $250,000 buy-in High Roller, and ACOP Warm-up with HKD $25,000 buy-in and guaranteed prize pool of HKD $5 million.
