A state Senator is planning to introduce another bill that would legalize online gambling in Pennsylvania sometime in 2017.

For the past four years, certain lawmakers in Pennsylvania have been calling for the legalization and regulation of online gambling. In 2016, these lawmakers came close with bill HB2150, which passed with a unanimous vote of 114-85.

Unfortunately, Pennsylvania lawmakers couldn’t agree to the terms of the bill, and it failed to pass by the November 30th deadline. Now, Senator Jay Costa has made US gambling news by planning to reintroduce a new bill in which bill HB2015 will serve “as the base.”

Costa claims that the new bill to legalize online gambling in Pennsylvania will come “in the near future.” Costa plans to allow Pennsylvania casinos to offer online gambling services, as long as they obtain the necessary approval and pay a one-time licensing fee of $10 million, and an annual fee of 25% of their revenue.

The bill will also serve to legalize online daily fantasy sports sites in Pennsylvania. DFS sites in the state will be required to pay a licensing fee of $2.5 million and an annual 25% revenue fee.

What Online Gambling Sites can you Access in Pennsylvania now?

In 2006, the US government passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling and Enforcement Act, which essentially killed the online gambling industry in the country. A new law was passed in 2012 that allowed states to set their own laws regarding online gambling, and a number of online sportsbooks in the US are now available in multiple states.

Online gambling in Pennsylvania has not yet been legalized, but the bill from Jay Costa may change that. For now, players will need to gamble through a foreign website.

In terms of online casinos in the US, there are a number of sites players can choose from. One of the most popular is 7Bit Casino, which has grown to become extremely popular over the past few years. This amazing casino site offers a wide range of online casino games including internet blackjack, poker, and online slot games for cash.

The online sports betting options are not quite as vast. One amazing internet sportsbook available in Pennsylvania is Intertops. This website offers a massive list of sports betting options for everything from football to ice hockey.
