Chan Sung Jung, one of South Korea’s best MMA fighters, steps into the cage for the first time in over three years this Saturday. Can he get the win?
The last time Chan Sung Jung was fighting in the UFC, he was fighting for a world championship against one of the best fighters of all time. The South Korean superstar was pushing the pace and landing some clean shots on the champion, but a shoulder injury in the 4th round brought an unexpected and anticlimactic ending to the match.

Not long after that fight, Jung told the media he would be taking time off to complete his mandatory military service. That service is now over, and Jung is stepping back into the cage to face one of the most dangerous fighters at featherweight.
Standing against one of South Korea’s best MMA fighters will be Dennis Bermudez, a 12-fight UFC veteran who has been in the top 10 rankings for years. Most online sportsbooks in the US has already set the betting odds, so let’s take a look at the betting favorite.

There are so many questions heading into this fight. Chan Sung Jung was one of the most exciting and dangerous fighters at featherweight before his departure, however it’s anyone’s guess whether he will look the same after more than 3 years outside the sport. Likely because of this layoff, Intertops lists Jung as the MMA betting underdog with odds of 2.50.
Dennis Bermudez always comes to fight, but he’s just 2-2 in his last 4 fights. Nonetheless, he’s looked better than ever as of late and is coming off a dominant performance over Rony Jason. Bermudez is coming in as the MMA betting favorite with odds of 1.52.
