India only has two competitors who’ve qualified for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Shiva Keshavan in the Luge (he put in a spirited performance coming 34th) and Jagdish Singh in the Men’s 15km Freestyle Cross Country Skiing. However the latter’s dreams have been dashed after a bizarre spat between the High Altitude Warfare School and the Indian Olympic Association dragging along the Winter Games Federation of India with it.
- Age – 26
- Born – Uttarakhand
- Occupation – Army
- Sport – Cross Country Skiing
- Event – Men’s 15km Freestyle
- Coach – Nadeem Iqbal
It might be a joke for most of those indulging in online gambling in India, but the school where Jadgish Singh trains is very unhappy their officers don’t get to accompany him on his trip to South Korea and the IOA is annoyed they’ll not sign affidavits to say the men going were involved in coaching at the WGFI has put forward two of its top bigwigs to go instead of everyone else just to get them really laughing at the farcical nature of this lamentable mess at every betting site and casino in India.
Who Should Accompany Jadgish Singh To South Korea?
For Jadgish Singh, the one Indian gambling laws of sportsmanship will overcome all, it’s no laughing matter as his Olympic dreams are dragged down under the weight of those attempting to cling to his coat tails. Even Keshavan has weighed in saying “It’s pretty sad what’s happening.” as he watches his team mate get put through the wringer and fan of the cross country skiier unable to find odds on him at even the most liberal minded poker room in India. North and South Korea have come together for the Winter Olympics, India seems to be having issues in that regard.
