  • Can St. Louis Blues Add to Last Year’s Successful Campaign by Defending the Trophy?
  • Boston Bruins Hyped Up for the Win this time around
  • Tampa Bay Lightning came into the Season as Favorites but have Performed Well-below Par

Coming into the season, Tampa Bay Lightning were backed heavily as the favorites to win the Stanley Cup. However, they have fallen well-behind Division rivals, Boston Bruins. Bruins finished last season as runner-up, but the NHL Stanley Cup 2020 winner betting predictions are favoring them this season. Will they go on to win it? Let’s see all the contenders for the trophy.

The Stanley Cup, which is also known as the Holy Grail, is considered to be the most important championship available to the sport of Hockey. Similar to the NBA, there are two conferences, the Eastern and the Western. Of the 31 teams in the league, there are four different divisions which they are categorized into. Those are the Pacific Division, the Atlantic Division, the Central Division and the Metropolitan Division.

NHL Stanley Cup 2020 Winner Betting Predictions Favor Eastern Conference to Win

Both the Atlantic and the Metropolitan Division belong to the Eastern Conference. Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning are both in the Atlantic Division yet are also both favorites to win the Stanley Cup.

The former is given betting odds of 7.00 by Betway Sportsbook to finish the season with the trophy. The season before, the Bruins narrowly lost the final to St. Louis Blues, who won the Stanley Cup for the first time in their history. Having not made significant changes to their squad, the Big Bad Bruins’ coach, Bruce Cassidy, has full trust in his team.

The Bruins started the season on the front foot and are currently in first place of the Atlantic Division. However, bookies’ second pick Tampa Bay Lightning are falling behind with 6 wins and 5 defeats. In the pre-season build-up, the Bolts were favorites to win.

Having performed miraculously last season, and tying with an NHL record of 62 wins, one would assume that they would replicate that form. However, they have not reached the expected heights and have struggled in finding that spark to kick-start their season. Betway Sportsbook has listed Tampa Bay Lightning at 9.00.

Western Conference Best Chances Lie with Toronto and Vegas

According to online sportsbook news in the US, the best bets for a Western Conference champion sit with Toronto Maple Leafs and Vegas Golden Knights. As they move into their third season as an NHL franchise, Vegas Golden Knights are a force to be reckoned with.

Having signed Mark Stone at last season’s deadline, the star player went on to score 33 goals. It will be interesting to see how far he takes them in his first full season. The NHL 2020 Stanley Cup Winner betting predictions have given the Golden Misfits odds of 10.00.

On the other hand, Toronto Maple Leafs are also in contention for a 14th Stanley Cup trophy. If they do manage to succeed, they will bring home the trophy after more than 50 years. The Bay Street Bullies are listed at betting odds of 10.00 to secure the trophy. However, their recent form would need a boost with only 8 wins from 15 games.

The NFL 2020 Stanley Cup Winner betting predictions favor the Eastern Conference to go on to win the cup. However, last year’s Western Conference team, St. Louis Blues, won the trophy under their interim coach, Craig Berube. To bet on St. Louis Blues to win for the second year running, online sportsbook sites in the US offer odds 15.00.
