New US Gambling Regulations Could Threaten Casinos

With new regulations and plans in making around the US, land-based casinos have lot to worry about. Currently, the US gambling industry is in a developing phase, especially when it comes to new fields such as Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) and online gaming. While the interest in iGaming and DFS is constantly increasing, casinos in Atlantic City are facing serious difficulties, including huge drops in the number of visitors.
The possible effects of the new US gambling regulations and casino expansion
According to Alex Bumazhny “the regulatory landscape casinos have contended with, in some cases for many years, is continuing to evolve.” More and more states are considering online gambling regulations, daily fantasy sports bills, or gambling expansion and “Atlantic City is not the only jurisdiction contending with the swift changes.” Currently, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Arkansas are all in talk for gambling expansion that could cannibalize Atlantic City casinos.
