NASCAR Texas Grand Prix Odds Mention Elliott and Truex Jr. as Top Favorites

The brand new EchoPark Texas Grand Prix is the next race in the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series calendar. Held this weekend, on the 23rd of May in Austin. One of the seven road course races promises lots of excitement for the fans and the drivers. Last year’s champion, Chase Elliott is the top favorite in the NASCAR Texas Grand Prix odds. But top-form drivers of the 2021 championship are also predicted to perform well this weekend. 

Denny Hamlin still leads the drivers’ standings in the 2021 season without a victory. Now he can try again to get his first win in a brand new race at the Circuit of the Americas. The 3,4 mile road course opened in 2012 and hosted the American Grand Prix in Formula 1 and MotoGP.  This will be the first time that NASCAR will visit the circuit which holds the third road race of the season. With no previous winners road race specialists are the biggest favorites like Chase Elliott. But he only finished 21st in the previous road race in Daytona and might struggle here as well. It’s not easy to predict the winners in this season with several big surprise results. But let’s see who are the biggest favorites of the bookmakers.

NASCAR Texas Grand Prix odds favor former world champions

Chase Elliott finished third in the last race in Dover and showed an improving form in the last few weeks. The defending champion still hasn’t got any win in this season though. He is  currently in 7th place in the standings. Now the Chevrolet driver will have a great opportunity to get the victory as predicted by online sportsbooks in the US. He usually performs well on road courses as his five previous wins prove. Elliott also got the chance to do a tire test on the new circuit in March along with Truex Jr. and Keselowski. But Martin Truex Jr. can perform well too if he can show his winning form again. Like he did in three races of the season already. Last time in Darlington two weeks ago. But the 2017 champion doesn’t always perform his best. He has finished out of the top 10 five times. Hamlin, Busch and Larson with a great chance of winning

Denny Hamlin leads the championship more than a hundred points ahead of second-place William Byron. Even though he hasn’t won any race in the season yet. But he is the most-balanced driver with solid performances in most races. He finished third in Daytona and has 10 top-five finishes on road courses. Though this will be a brand new circuit for the Joe Gibbs racing driver, his odds to win here is +900. 

Hamlin’s teammate, Kyle Busch is also mentioned in the favorites by online gambling sites in the US. The two-time series champion also visited the circuit in April and had the chance to go on a few laps. Busch is great on road courses and has four wins from them. Plus he also won the first event of the season, the Busch Clash road race in Daytona back in February. His odds to win again is +1000. While the runner-up of the last two races, Kyle Larson has great results from Watkins Glen, the circuit most similar to this one.
