Mauricio Pochetino has suggested that he could see out the remainder of his managerial career as Tottenham boss.
Will Pochettino really say ‘no’ to Man United’s advances?
Surrounded with intense speculation about him taking over Manchester United in the summer, Mauricio Pochettino has thrown out a bombshell stating that his managerial days could come to an end Spurs.
The Old Trafford side has been following his incredible developments with Tottenham so some time now, and he’s the favourite with providers of internet betting in UK to take over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer, if the Norwegian fails to turn around Man United’s fortunes throughout the remainder of the season.
Pochettino praised Arsene Wenger – the former manager of their biggest rivals Arsenal – on his incredible 22-year reign (between 1996 and 2018) as the Gunners boss, and commented how he would like to see himself manage Spurs for equally as long.
“I have a massive, huge respect for Arsene Wenger,” said the Argentine. “Because when people talk of his 22-years in charge of a club like Arsenal and all that happens in that period. You need to be so good, not only a coach but the values you translate.”
“That is why it’s a little bit sad about the wat he finishes in his club. For us it’s not business it’s a passion. For all Arsene Wenger gave for Arsenal, to finish in the way it finished, it’s a little bit unfair. I hope, or wish, to be here 20 years and decide to leave or to finish my career here. But I need to ask him, if one day I get the opportunity, if he is happy in the way he finishes. I don’t believe (he did).”
Which side will win at Wembley this weekend?
Tottenham will next face Manchester United in what could be a spectacular game, as the latter has stated performing well under new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

After 21 rounds in the Premier League, Tottenham sit in 3rd position on the table with 48 points, while their upcoming counterparts Man United are in 6th spot with 10 points less. Undoubtedly, online sportsbook in UK are favouring Spurs to win the match and collect the all-important 3 points from this weekend’s game, due to their incredible performances under Pochettino this season.
But the thing that’s worrying for Spurs is that since Man United’s 3-1 humiliating loss to Liverpool in mid-December, the Red Devils have won all of their games – four consecutive victories, to be specific. And that’s all down to Solskjaer, who has managed to completely turn around Man United’s fortunes since the club decided to sack Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham had a great run of wins at home (Wembley) that see them win 4 straight matches before suffering a loss at the hands of Wolves in their last encounter. However, we’re sure that game was just a hiccup in their performances, and the upcoming match against the Red Devils will prove too important for Pochettino to blunder, so we’re expecting them to win the highly-anticipated match.
