• Lyon favorites against Lille away
• Marseille will defend their colors against Caen at home
• Reims have no serious chance against Bordeaux away
According to French gambling news, Bordeaux will try to do everything they can to enter the top four mold as they currently occupy 5th spot in the league. They will next play against Reims which should see them claim the 3 points from the encounter. And lastly of our betting preview, we will take a look at the game between Lens and Rennes.
Marseille vs Caen and Lille vs Lyon
Marseilles have done pretty well this season and at one point they were viewed as serious contenders for the French title. However, in recent times they have suffered a drop in form which has seen them record 1 win, 1 loss and 3 draws in the last 5 matches. Now they sit in 3rd position with an overall of 50 points. They will next play against Caen tonight and Bet365 believes that they are destined to win 1.44 (4/9) this encounter.
Caen on the other hand have been dealt outsiders odds 7.00 (6/1) for this upcoming clash, due to their much lower standing on the table (14th spot). While playing on the road they have notched 3 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses which is why mobile betting providers have set the draw for the match at 4.33 (10/3). Looking at the individual results of both sides, the home team should be able to capture the 3 points.
Lille will go head to head with Lyon in what will probably be a very exciting clash. The 2011 champions are currently facing some tough times in 12th place and their form has been lackluster over the last 5 games (1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses). On their own ground they won 6 games, however they have also blundered on many occasions drawing a total of 5 times and losing twice.
Lyon on the other hand are fighting to regain their former elite status within the French league. they currently sit in 1st position with an overall of 54 points with defending champions PSG trailing close behind in second with 52. While playing away they have recorded 4 wins, 5 draws and 3 losses, and considering their status they should have done better. Nevertheless, Bet365 favors them to win 2.70 (17/10), while Lille have been dealt underdog chances 2.80 (9/5).
Bordeaux vs Reims and Lens vs Rennes
Bordeaux sit in 6th place and they are fighting hard to break in the top 5, so they can have a chance to challenge for European competitions next season. In recent performances they have not put on convincing displays having tied on 3 occasions and only won twice over the last 5 matches. However, at home they have been solid (7 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses) and that is why Bet365 gave them preferential chances 1.70 (7/10).
Reims are in a completely different situation as they are struggling to keep up with all the other sides in the league. They find themselves in 15th spot boasting only 31 points and their form has also been pretty disappointing (3 draws and 2 losses). While playing on the road they have notched 2 wins, 4 draws and 6 losses. Bet365 does not believe that they have the capacity to fight against Bordeaux and have therefore been dealt outsiders odds 5.50 (9/2).
Lens will go head to head with Rennes, a match that will be filled with uncertainty due to their individual records. Lens occupy the low 19th position and are facing the threat of being relegated to Ligue 2 next season if they don’t make some serious changes in the near future. Over the last 5 encounters they only recorded negative results (2 draws and 3 losses), however online sportsbooks in France gave them favorite status 2.30 (13/10).
Rennes lie in 13th place with a total of 32 points and while playing away from home they have won 3 games, whereas the other matches ended in 4 draws and a huge 6 losses. That is why Bet365 wasn’t too keen to assign them more positive odds than 3.30 (23/10). A tie 3.20 (11/5) between the two sides is also worth placing a wager on as both of the teams are prone to blunder on occasion.
