Round 22 of Ligue 1 will see many great teams go head to head this weekend as they all aim to make their presence known.
This weekend will be somewhat different from all the other match days in the French top flight as many teams that are considered almost equals will lock horns as they try to defend their colors against the respective opposition that they’ll face. French gambling news reports that Nice will host Monaco tonight while the first game on Saturday will see Lille and Monaco clash.
There will also be plenty of great encounters from which punters can capitalize on their betting pursuits. Bastia are preparing to face Bordeaux at home which will serve towards their advantage as they will play in familiar surroundings against a team that is pretty strong. And lastly Toulouse will travel to Evian Thonon Gaillard where they will aim to beat their opponents, however that might prove difficult as they are the favorites.
Nice vs Marseille and Lille vs Monaco
Nice are currently fixed in the middle of the table (10th place) with only 28 points from 21 games so far. While playing at home they have recorded 4 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses. These stats are quite uncertain which makes the any subsequent match an uncertainty as the game could go in either way. What makes things worse for them they will face Marseille, who are second in the league with 44 points overall.
The visiting side have managed to win 4 games, draw twice and lose 4 times as well, which is why online sportsbooks in France remain somewhat divided on who the winner of the encounter could be. Bet365 has put its faith in Marseille 2.20 (6/5), while Nice have been given underdog odds 3.50 (5/2). A tie 3.20 (11/5) does may also happen considering the recent performances of both teams.
Lille will play Monaco at home where they will have a chance to use maximize their gameplay considering that they know their own ground well. At home they have notched an impressive 6 wins, 4 draws and only 1 loss. Although their record is decent they have been branded as underdogs for this game with their odds being 2.80 (9/5), unlike Monaco who have been dealt preferential chances 2.70 (17/10).
The principality have recorded 5 wins, 2 draws and 3 losses while playing away from home which is partially responsible for leading them to 5th place in the league. A draw may even be possible for this match, judging by recent results, for which Bet365 has offered 3.10 (21/10).
Bastia vs Bordeaux and Evian Thonon Gaillard vs Toulouse
Bastia currently occupy a low 15th position and they have so far accumulated only 22 points. Their results at home are not that convincing as they have an almost equal amount of wins, draws and losses each standing at 4, 4 and 3 respectively. Bet365 ranks them as a side that is able to seal the all-important 3 points, therefore they have been dealt preferential odds 2.50 (6/4).
Bordeaux can be viewed as being a team that is twice better than their upcoming opponents considering the fact that they’re sitting in 7th place with 32 points. While playing on the road they haven’t been as successful as they are at home by sealing only 3 wins, while the rest of the games ended in 3 draws and 5 losses. Bet365 does not hold them in high regard for their match by giving them unfavorable odds 3.10 (21/10).
Evian Thonon Gaillard will host Toulouse on Saturday evening in a match that promises to be very exciting for all the fans. One interesting aspect about this game is that the odds are almost even for both sides, which will make it a dilemma for punters when picking their team. The hosts are 18th in the league (relegation zone) and have recorded 4 wins, 2 draws and 4 losses at home. As per French gambling laws, Bet365 offers odds of 2.60 (8/5) for Evian Thonon Gaillard to win.
Toulouse can’t brag about boasting much better results or even a significantly better standing as they currently occupy 16th place in Ligue 1. They have notched 3 wins, 0 draws and 8 losses while playing on the road which has granted them slim chances of success against the Evian Thonon Gaillard. Bet365 has given them 2.80 (9/5), while a draw between the two stands at 3.20 (11/5).
