The Canadian national ice hockey team has been leading history in official tournaments since 1920 when it first played at the Olympics and World Championships. The Finnish national ice hockey team traces its history back to 1928, first appearing at the World Championship in 1939, at the Olympics in 1952. Three-time world champion (1995, 2011, 2019), also 8 silver medals and 3 bronze medals, twice Olympic silver medalist games (1988, 2006), and four times bronze (1994, 1998, 2010, 2014).
