Land-based casinos in the US continue to seek joint ventures with online gaming technology providers.
Despite impending legalization of online casinos in United States there are still new land-based casinos opening up, while other casinos refurbish their premises. After all, gamblers also like to go out and where else to have a drink if not at the casino.
When it comes to online sportsbooks in USA, these are not likely to be legalized anytime soon. And as we know, Las Vegas lives off not only gambling, but also of sports betting.
In a recent announcement, Palms Resort Casino is teaming up with Cantor Gaming to open up a racing and sports wagering center in Las Vegas. In addition, both companies seek to offer mobile betting which will be compatible with Android-run smartphones.
Cantor Gaming is, indeed, licensed in the State of Nevada to offer mobile gambling. The company provides casino games, mobile betting technology, and back office infrastructure to the casinos. It is an offspring of Cantor Fitzgerald, a financial technology provider. The partner, Palms Resort Casino, is a large gambling, hotel, and entertainment complex in the City of Sin.
In addition, the center will also offer poker gaming at its facilities. In this case, as with sports betting, the joint venture will seek to combine traditional gambling with the modern technology. Let’s see how this bet will pay off once American gambling laws allow for expansion into other states.
