This is just one of the exciting matches that occurred as there was plenty of other action. • Malaga plan to overcome Eibar away
• Barcelona will play Almeria at the Nou Camp
• Sevilla ready to take on Levante away
Spanish gambling news reports that Atletico Madrid will defend their colors against Real Sociedad at home, while Malaga will visit Eibar tonight. Levante will host Sevilla where they will try to use home field advantage to clinch a victory. Tomorrow Barcelona will play against Almeria at the Nou Camp which should see them scoop all the 3 points.
Atletico Madrid vs Real Sociedad and Eibar vs Malaga
The current defending champions of Spain sit in have so far played 29 games in the competition and have managed to accumulate 62 points. This is 5 points less than second-placed Real Madrid and a total of 9 less than leaders Barcelona. In the last 5 home games they won 4 and drew only once, so it makes sense that Bet365 believes they can pull off a win against Real Sociedad. The odds for them winning have been set at 1.30 (3/10) considering their far superior status.
The visiting team have been assigned outsider chances 11.00 (10/1) for the game against Diego Simeone’s men. They currently find themselves in the middle of the table with 37 points which granted them only 10th spot on the table. While playing on the road they were able to clinch only 1 victory as all the other encounters ended in 7 draws and 6 losses. A tie stands at a high 5.25 (17/4), an event that is not probable.
Eibar will go head to head with Malaga at home, however judging by their recent performances they are not favored by mobile betting providers. The hosts occupy 15th position on the table having gained 28 points overall. Their home record is quite hopeless (3 wins, 3 draws and 8 losses), which is the reason behind their lesser odds 3.25 (9/4). A draw between them two for the match stands at a high 3.10 (21/10).
Malaga sit in 7th place with 45 points after clinching 13 wins, 6 draws and 10 losses in total. At home the Andalusian side have been solid, however while playing on the road they weren’t able to put on their best performances until this point. They won on 5 occasions, while the rest of the games resulted in 2 draws and a disappointing 7 losses. Nevertheless, the odds are in their favor for the upcoming game 2.38 (11/8).
Levante vs Sevilla and Barcelona vs Almeria
Levante will face Sevilla at home, a side that won the Europa League last season. This should prove to be an interesting encounter between the two sides, as both will be looking to impress for the game. The home team are currently in 14th position having collected an overall of 28 points and their form in last 5 home games stands at 3 wins and 2 losses. They clinched 5 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses on their own turf, so their chances are not very positive 4.75 (15/4).
Sevilla are holding on to 5th place and they are trying hard to enter the top 4 mold so they can qualify for the Champions League next season. At the moment Valencia are blocking their progress, so this upcoming game will be decisive for their advancement. Their chances of success against Levante are quite good 1.80 (4/5), considering their records so far. While playing on the road they lost 7 times, however they also managed to win on 7 occasions as well.
Tomorrow, Barcelona will be aiming to clinch an important victory against Almeria, which will grant them another 3 points and therefore bring them even closer to lifting the Spanish title. The differences between the two sides is so great that online sportsbooks in Spain have completely outcast Almeria assigning them highly unlikely chances 41.00 (40/1). A draw 13.00 (12/1) for the match is the most that the visiting side can hope for, however even that does not seem probable.
Barcelona boast a star-studded squad that have scored plenty of goals this season. However, in some recent games they haven’t put on convincing displays, as defenders had to bail them out from a draw. Even still, the odds for them winning the match are 1.05 (1/11) according to online betting sites, thanks to great run at home. At Nou Camp they have lost only twice while all the other clashes ended in 12 impressive wins.
