Betting enthusiasts will have a chance to make a killing this weekend with all the great encounters in the top flight of Spanish football.
The international break saw the domestic championships take a break, which delighted some fans but also upset another group. They could place wagers on national sides that they believed could make them a profit, however they couldn’t support their favorite club side as the action was halted. Fortunately, the league are back this weekend so punters can once again enjoy pursuing their betting efforts.
• Sevilla gears up to face Athletic Bilbao at home
• Rayo Vallecano will play Eibar on the road
• Almeria and Levante likely to draw
According to Spanish gambling news, Eibar will be looking to earn a few extra points against Rayo Vallecano at home on Friday evening. The first match on Saturday will see Sevilla go head to head with Athletic Bilbao in what might be a good game to watch and bet on. Levante will travel to Almeria while Malaga will play against Real Sociedad at their own ground.
Eibar vs Rayo Vallecano and Sevilla vs Athletic Bilbao
Eibar sit in 14th position with 28 points, but over the course of the last 5 encounters they have been disastrous. They lost 4 games in a row, while managing to draw against Granada away in their last game. At home their record stands at 3 wins, 3 draws and 7 losses, so it is easy to see why many online betting providers don’t have high hopes for them. Bet365 has decided to give them odds of 2.60 (8/5), in respect of the results they have achieved so far.
Rayo Vallecano are not that much better as they occupy 11th spot on the table having collected 35 points so far. In their last 5 away matches they clinched 5 wins, while the rest of the games ended in 1 draw and 8 losses. Their away form has also been pretty disappointing considering they lost all 4 of their last 5 games. That is why they have been assigned limited chances 2.80 (9/5), while a draw between them two stands at a cool 3.25 (9/4), an event that is quite likely.
For this weekend Sevilla have been paired with Athletic Bilbao, a game that will take place at 16:00 CET. Currently, the Andalusians find themselves in 5th place on the La Liga table, after managing to accumulate 55 points overall. Their over the over the past 5 encounters has been pretty good (3 wins, 1 draw and 1 loss). Their home record is even better as it stands at a great 10 wins and only 4 draws, without any losses, so their chances of winning are great 1.75 (3/4).
Athletic Bilbao are trying hard to push back into the top 4 fold as they now stand in 8th position claiming only 39 points. In recent matches however, they have been pretty impressive raking up 5 straight wins. Unfortunately, their away record is not very convincing (5 wins, 3 draws and 6 losses), which is reason behind them having limited chances 4.75 (15/4). A tie may also be very likely for a game of this sort, and the odds for that are 3.75 (11/4), per mobile betting sites.
Almeria vs Levante and Malaga vs Real Sociedad
Levante will square off against Almeria away from home, where they will be looking to get the all-important 3 points and get out of the relegation zone. At the moment both teams are level on points (25), however Levante have occupied 18th place after a series of dreadful performances. While playing on the road they have clinched 1 wins and 4 draw, however they have also lost a staggering 9 times.
Almeria sit in 17th place, but since they have a slightly better record overall they managed to occupy a post outside of the relegation zone. Over the last 5 encounters they clinched 3 losses and 2 draws, so they as well have been undergoing some tumultuous times. The odds for them winning the clash stands at 2.15 (8/7), while a win for the visiting side has been set at 3.60 (13/5). A tie for the match seems to be the most likely, and the odds for that are 3.25 (9/4).
Malaga will be tested against Real Sociedad at home, and judging by the recent performances on their own ground they should have the capacity to clinch a victory. The home side have accumulated a total of 44 points from 28 games, and while playing in front of their home support they managed to win on 8 occasions, while the other encounters ended in 3 draws and 3 losses.
Malaga’s stats will surely be in the back of the heads of Real Sociedad players. Online sportsbooks in Spain have branded them underdogs 4.00 (3/1) for the upcoming encounters as their performances have been rather lackluster in recent times. They notched only 1 win, with the rest of the games ending in 6 draws and 6 losses. A win for the home team stands at 2.00 (1/1), while a draw has been set at 3.40 (12/5).
