Check out part II of our La Liga betting preview to have a greater chance of hitting big wins this weekend.
Spanish gambling news reports that Sevilla will defend its colors against Real Sociedad away from home this Saturday, where they will aim to improve their standing in the league. After that in the afternoon Athletic Bilbao will go head to head against Rayo Vallecano in a match that looks to involve a great deal of uncertainly due to their individual results in recent times.
• Sevilla favorites against Real Sociedad
• Athletic Bilbao should claim a victory against Rayo Vallecano
• Levate and Granada set for an uncertain match against one another
Villarreal will then be tested against Eibar in the evening as they bid to make their presence known in La Liga, as they have just recently reemerged onto the scene. And finally, we will also look the encounter between Levante and Granada which should provide punters with plenty of great betting opportunities.
Real Sociedad vs Sevilla and Athletic Bilbao vs Rayo Vallecano
Real Sociedad had hoped to accumulate more points until this stage in the Spanish competition, however they could replicate the same form that they enjoyed at earlier times this season. They now stand in 12th place with only 24 points from 23 games so far and have a form that is not that convincing (1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses in the last 5 encounters). Therefore is makes sense that Bet365 doesn’t rank them as favorites, by giving them odds of 2.90 (19/10).
Sevilla are a different story compared to Real Sociedad, as they managed to utilize most of their players in to getting the desired results. They now boast 5th place on the table and have 45 points overall, and although their form in the last five matches doesn’t seem that great (2 wins and 3 losses) they are still deemed the preferential side to win 2.50 (3/2), per Bet365. A draw stands at 3.30 (23/10), an event that seem unlikely.
Athletic Bilbao will go head to head with Rayo Vallecano at and looking at both sides the upcoming match will most probably see a lot of drama. The hosts are 13th on the table with 24 points, which is quite a different position from the one they used to enjoy several years ago, when they were challenging for the big trophies in Europe. Their record while playing at home stands at 3 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses, which is not commendable for a team playing on their own field.
Rayo Vallecano are not that much better than them finding themselves in 11th with 26 points, only 2 places above their upcoming opponents. Their record on the road is quite uncertain given how many times they have won and lost (5 wins, 1 draw and 6 losses), which is why they have been dealt odds of 4.20 (16/5). A win for Athletic Bilbao stands at 1.91 (10/11), while a draw has been set at 3.50 (5/2), according to Mobile betting sites.
Villarreal vs Eibar and Levante vs Granada
Villarreal, who are currently 6th, will be looking to add a few extra points to their current tally of 41 against Eibar, a side that is struggling to keep up with all the other sides in the league. The Yellow Submarine has a pretty decent home record (8 wins, 0 draws and 3 losses) with the goal difference being 12. Bet365 has earmarked them to win 1.40 (2/5) the upcoming encounter against Eibar due to their better standing and results at home.
The visiting side have been branded as complete outsiders 7.50 (13/2), as their away record is not so impressive (4 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses). Their current form over the last 5 games has seen them pick up 1 draws and a staggering 4 losses, so the most that they can aim for is a draw, although that event is also rather unlikely. Bet365 has set a tie between them at 4.50 (7/2).
The sole game of Sunday will see Levante defend its colors at home against Granada in a game that should offer plenty of betting possibilities for dedicated punters. The home side sit in 19th on the table and have 19 points from 23 games which has seen them hit a bad form recently (1 win and 4 losses in last 5 games). While playing on their own ground they have notched 3 wins, 3 draws and 5 losses which is part of the reason why Bet365 has assigned them odds of 2.25 (5/4).
Online sportsbooks in Spain don’t have high hopes for Granada, despite the fact that they are sitting 1 position above Levante in 18th place with 19 points overall. Their form is a little better as they managed to hit 1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses during the last 5 games, however their away record is pretty bad notching only 1 win, while the rest of the matches ended in 4 draws and 7 losses. Bet365 has set their odds at 3.50 (5/2), but they will probably lose against Levante.
