Last season (and the nine before that if we’re honest about it) Punjab didn’t fare as well as their fans would have liked, fifth in the table didn’t progress them to the season climax and this season they know they’ve some work to do to impress those taking advantage of Indian gambling laws to bet on the IPL, but with a brand new captain can they really beat the Delhi Daredevils this Sunday? We take a look.
- Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium
- Sunday 8th April
- Kings XI Punjab – 10/11
- Delhi Daredevils – 10/11
Ravichandran Ashwin taking the helm at the Kings XI Punjab might not seem the most radical of moves but with Chris Gayle, Aaron Finch, Karun Nair, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal to choose from as opening bats you have to think they’re going to be shaping a very tricky side to beat this year especially with Marcus Stoinis in the mix. That said this is all as theoretical as someone using “a system” in a casino in India, and if you’re going to bet on the IPL you might need more convincing.
Bet On The IPL Title Winner Before The Season Starts
The bookies certainly think so judging that their opposition their first game, the Delhi Daredevils, have just as much chance of winning on the day. Both sides get a very fair minded 11/10 for those doing some online gambling in India, although you do have to wonder if the loss of Kagiso Rabada to injury might not hamper them slightly in pursuit of victory. Sure, in the grand scheme of things he’s just one guy, but his pace will be missed in their attack like cards and chips would be in a poker room in India.
