The government led by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu commissioned a study on the matter, which found that the first Israeli casino to open for tourists would bring a yearly $500 million income to the country.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has been supporting the matter of an Israeli casino to open for foreigners for long. Now a Tourism Ministry committee found that an Israeli casino to open in Eliat would bring more than $330 million in the first years and it could be rise up to $500 million per annum after a few years of operation. This was based on the results of casinos opened in other countries in recent years.
