2024 Hamilton Summer Recap

So far, we did not find Lewis Hamilton anything special in 2024. This season he was way behind the general names. Early in the competition, it was a rough race between Ferrari and Red Bull. McLaren was the third team to join the competition, with Mercedes constantly attempting to join the top three. After knowing the Legacy of Lewis Hamilton, we are sure that the peak of his career is not ready to close yet. Is Hamilton coming back?

Well, we are going to see the next GP. During the last circuit, we were surprised he managed to beat Max Verstappen. On the other hand, Leclerc had an issue with his car, and we all expected Hamilton to at least perform better. But as it turns out, he outlived our expectations, giving us something even better! The history of his GPs in 2024 was the following placements: 1st (1x), 3rd (2x) 4th (4x) 5th (2x) 6th (4x) 7th (3x) 8th (1x) 9th (4x) 18th (1x) 19th (2x). – His average placement is 7.42th, while his medium placement is 6th.

So, Is Hamilton Coming Back?

This is a complex question to ask, but we are doing our best to not stay biased to either side. After seeing our F1 Qatar GP review, you will understand our skepticism. On the other hand, Hamilton had his champion era already. Every setback is either him not adapting to new rules, or his car or team making bad decisions and calls in regards to strategy and structure.

According to Motorsport, there were a handful of events in Hamilton’s life between his last two victories. Of course, improvements in team management were one of the most important decisions the team had to take. The answer to the question is: Yes, Hamilton is back. But he has yet to show us that he can perform better on any circuit, not only the one he is the best at.

The Current Competition

According to Formula 1, Hamilton did beat Verstappen last time. It was a clear challenge and not something about Max Verstappen’s car failure this time. It was a competition that was fair and square. So, is Hamilton coming back to the top? The answer to this question is yes. Right now, he is in the top 3. However, this can quickly change, if he loses the upcoming GP to anything worse than a 3rd placement. Right now, Ferrari is struggling to fix their car. Thus, we do not expect Ferrari to make a significant comeback in at the very least four GP-s. For now, we believe that the competition rate is the following:

  1. Max Verstappen
  2. Lando Norris
  3. Lewis Hamilton
  4. Oscar Piastri
  5. Carlos Sainz
  6. Charles Leclerc

These are the best drivers right now, and they are turning the competition around for sure.

Moving To Ferrari – Is Hamilton Coming Back?

This section is a reminder of what is waiting for us in 2025. It seems that Hamilton is going to join Ferrari, where his new teammate is going to be Charles Leclerc. This is a perfect opportunity for Ferrari to catch up with new cars and a new brand. Hamilton can bring his knowledge about the cars, while his greatest challenge will be to not try to change Ferrari to fit his driving style the most.

On the other hand, we also have a debate on whether Leclerc or Hamilton will take over Ferrari’s success in the 2025 season. Why is Hamilton with Ferrari a great idea? Well, as it seems, both Leclerc and Hamilton will need an entirely new energy. Leclerc might get a great and consistent teammate, while Hamilton will likely manage to shape Ferrari for the better.

How To Bet On F1 Online?

Is Hamilton coming back? In conclusion, yes. It seems he is returning to the top. And even if he might not be as great this season as we expect, he can still outperform the current season in 2025, where he potentially joins up with Charles Leclerc, to dress up in red under the team of Ferrari.

Right now, his greatest challenge is to keep a competition with Max Verstappen for more than three GP-s to be considered as a full-time champion this season. But of course, the McLaren team is going to pressure them as well. If you are interested in betting on the upcoming F1 games this season, we highly recommend you register at bet365 Sportsbook!
