Efbet boosts image by procuring high profile contracts from several football sports clubs in
Bulgaria.
Efbet, who managed not to run afoul of the tumultuous Bulgarian gambling laws, was able to pierce
into the Bulgarian sports betting market with a leap. The online traditional bookmaker, partly-
owned by Intralot, has accumulated contracts with several top-notch Bulgarian football clubs and the
Bulgarian Football Union (BFU).
Malta-based Eurofootball who owns the Efbet brand name is sponsoring the APFG top-tier football
club Levski Sofia of Bulgaria. The Efbet logo will appear on the football players’ jerseys at least
throughout the last quarter of 2014.
If the deal is extended for another 3 years as planned, until the end of the 2017-2018 season, then
the players will continue to show off the Efbet brand name on their sportswear for another 3 1⁄2
years.
Getting one foot in the Bulgarian market brings Efbet a pot of gold
This kind of aggressive advertising of brand name is a marketing strategy that the bookmaking icon is
proud of. The chief financial officer of Levski Sofia Mr. Konstantin Bazhdekov was quick to point out
that the partnership is a two-way deal.
The players are wearing the t-shirts because they are getting sponsorship from Efbet. Also the
partnership between the two allows EFbet to have a solid footing in the online sportsbooks market in Bulgaria which has enabled the company to foster relations with other football clubs.
Efbet has already secured deals with Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Botev Plovdiv, CSKA Sofia, Lokomotiv Sofia
and Slavia. On top of this they have signed an exclusive 2-year contract with the Bulgarian Football
Union (BFU) and the Bulgarian national football team.
