The newly established “Horseracing Bettors Forum” aims towards opening new possibilities for horserace betting
Betting on F1 races or on who will win Champions League in football is pretty common for the punters around the globe. But can horseracing also attract as much betting public as these sports? The British Horseracing Authority (BHA), believes we can give an affirmative answer to this question.
They have recently launched the so called “Horseracing Bettors Forum” (HBF) whose aim is to provide constructive proposals for the further development of the sport, making it more appropriate for the betting customers. The forum is supposed to be composed by 8 experts in betting on British racing. As gambling news reports, Simon Rowlands is already elected to be its first chair.
In search of new opportunities for horserace betting
According to Nick Rust, chief executive in BHA, more than nine million people bet on British racing yearly and they all form an essential part of this sport. That is why it is of crucial importance to meet the needs, wishes and expectations not only of the stakeholders in the industry but also of the betting enthusiasts. The HBF forum will be a chance for them to express their preferences.
HBT will work as a medium through which they can tell what they want from the sport, adds Rowlands. The role of the forum is to function as a link that connects British horseracing, the bettors, the stakeholders and the online sportsbooks in Britain for mutual benefit.
